    Feels like Vogel is the most experienced of the cheap coaches or the cheapest of the experienced coaches. Udoka/Atkinson probably too much cash for Fertitta.

    its interesting how quickly after Vogel's interview we heard how impressive he was and the rockets plan to bring him back. not so for griffin and Borrego. udoka is one of the few who could unseat vogel as the favorite. big interview.

    Exactly, money talks and if one of those qualified coaches can maximize this Rockets team and put them on right track that would boost up their coaching portfolio tremendously

    Plus those candidates have to be somewhat interested in possibly coaching the French unicorn along with the young pieces and cap space

    IMO one underrated aspect of the Rockets coaching seat attractiveness this off-season is the that, despite numerous rumors about FO interference on the coaching activities, the management did build a reputation of (at least on the cover) giving the coaches patience (and not firing them at will). MDA x4 years and Silas x3 years. If I’m looking for a job, job stability for sure is one important criteria.

    Another notable thing is (especially compared to the candidate pool in parallel from the Pistons coaching search) the pedigree of candidates. A perhaps overlooked indication is that Tillman finally decided to spend big and pay up. The fact that Nurse is among the interests speaks volume to this. (He makes at least 8 bucks next year). Ime will also not be cheap.

    I do like Vogel as an underrated choice (especially underrated on this forum lol). Particularly after listening to the Lager Line pod episode that just came out today (great listen btw). Let’s see if Ime and Kenny bring any surprises. My money is on Vogel but who knows!

    In any case, the coaching search is looking promising guys.

    Laziest take that keeps on coming up. Dude literally built the University of Houston a stadium and a medical school. He’s got the money to spend but he just doesn’t want to spend it on losers

    I would just take It as being the front runner of those interviewed so far, which the heavy hitter is on deck along with possibly another one in Nurse, which is probably going to change the narrative come Wednesday evening
