Hey Wokies: Should airlines accommodate fat people?

hey tinman should we list overweight people to gay, poor, people of color, liberal intellectuals, Trump opponents to the list that trigger you?

 

it seems like seat width and leg room have shrunk quite a bit over the years. we have also gotten a lot fatter. its a bad combo.

i hate sitting next to a large person on a flight. some of their body oozes over into my space or they take the whole arm rest. i feel like they should give me $50 or at least buy me a beer.

 

The dude is mentally ill. Not because our politics differ. But is there nothing else to do all day?

 

I agree, I fly quite often and when I see a larger person, not just overweight but a really tall person I get nervous, I always get a window seat and it never fails I get them in the middle seat, what I hate is they literally spill over into my space and it is the most GOD awful feeling to have a stranger in my space for the next few hours and in the meantime I can't move or GOD forbid I want to get up and go to the bathroom. If you cant fit in the crappy ass small seats they give us now than they should have to buy 2 tickets for 2 seats or the airline should give a discount on their second seat.

 

They should be able to buy two seats next to one another so they can fit.

Tall people have to pay extra for legroom, so it seems fair that fat people can pay extra too.

It will matter when the market demand is there. Morbidly obese people don't travel, or move much, at all. Doesn't make them a key demographic for airlines.
