The Wolves got very few calls inside. I noticed a lot of contact that went uncalled. But I wanted the Lakers to lose, so I'm biased.

Especially when Edwards went to the basket. It is obvious he is the Wolves most impactful player. At least in this matchup.

Lol yeah, memo to those teams that want twin towers, you can get a relatively taller guy who is a PF for that too.

Didnt you also say NBA gifted Zion to Pelicans to thank them for Lakers getting AD?

By that logic NBA loves Wolves the most since they gifted Twolves with multiple No 1s including KaT and Edwards.

This game just shows how overrated Gobert is. Wolves are 8-4 without Gobert, that trade was a massive mistake and cost the Wolves everything. Everybody mad at Stone, I mean it could def be a lot worse lol.

For context, 76ers were 11-5 w/o Embiid, Nuggs 5-8 w/o Joker, Bucks 11-8 w/o Freak. So the Sixers likewise don't miss the Process?

Sixers have a 43-23 record with Embiid you think they miss him or not?

Meanwhile Wolves are 34-36 with Gobert and 8-4 without Gobert?
    How about that for context?

Sure, Gobert's record is a given. That's why I was just comparing the MVP candidates. So, Embiid's presence didn't change the fortune of their team record. However, no one is gonna argue they won't need Embiid.

This had happened a lot in the past too, as regular season records are influenced by a variety of factors, whereas playoffs is about matchups. So if you happen to be missing that one piece, be it 3rd scorer, point-of-attack wing defender, or a shot-blocker, you lose the matchup, then you just can't win.

Atlanta Hawks were #1 seed at a time, but no one thought they can challenge Lebron's Cavs. That's cos everyone could see how the Hawks have no one to match them up.

Grizz had a "better record" without Morant last year too. I don't think anyone feels they don't need him.

Neither the Nuggs nor the Bucks have a former MVP as the second option.

Sure that's good for Sixers. But let's see their record with both out? 6-3.
    For reference, they are games: 10, 17-20, 46, 75 @Den, 81, 82.

My point is, when someone is out, it might not affect the record, but it affects your personnel options. It depends on whether the substitutes can shine or sustain; sometimes an injury can force the coach to play the "right" players instead, but that's about coaching failure and management of egos.

Matchup-wise, for example, against some teams, a shot-blocking big might be a liability, but against others, it might be just what you need.

Minus Harden and Biid the Nuggs and Bucks are way deeper teams.
