Silas just got fired because of the young moldable core and was continually hung out to dry by his bosses, so there's also that.

Not that it matters much. Coaches don't really matter that much as I've said.

Nurse first pick, Atkinson second pick. That’s my wish. I’m sure I’m opening myself to being narco bumped in years to come but I like those 2.

Different situation, though. Silas pretty much just had rookies/second year players and the constant exodus of every veteran in service of tanking for high picks. The new coach will have second/third year players getting close to their prime years and a team looking toward winning, with plenty of space and assets to spend.

It's the same dysfunctional mismatched players (assets) and the same questionable ownership and mgmt that have been the dregs of the league for 3 yeaes- I'm loathe to consider it that different unless Harden level talent is actually acquired other than in Woj tweets.

Now on some level you can't make the Rockets coaching job that unattractive as there's only 30 such jobs in the world and only a handful change every year. But, one is hard pressed to say it's a substantially more attractive situation than Detroit or Toronto or whatever else would be available.

Atkinson won’t leave GS.he might promote to HC if Kerr goes to GM
Udoka? No thanks. Decent player, but you don’t want a philanderer around our youngsters he might bang their bihs

Tilman going the cheap route again when there are so many more qualified coaches will just be sickening.

That’s more like it. I’m probably a little higher on Udoka than Vogel, but at least it’s got Brooks and Jackson pushed down a bit.

Morey interviewed a lot of people… sometimes they were interviewed multiple times… but the decision to hire MDA was made by Les Alexander and not Morey.

just do your due diligence and interview everybody that has the capability to coach.

Ime Udoka needs an interview, better not pull the Texans holier than thou bs.

Hire Nurse. He just needs a fresh start. You can say the same for Udoka but due to the character issues Rockets will stay away.

Red Auerbach would be a sneaky good hire. Don't count him out yet.
