Go for the single deck blackjack tables. I cant stand mutiple deck tables, how the hell does the dealer get a 21 with like 6 cards? please tell me. It aint just once either.

I stayed at Gold Coast last June for my 21st bday, had a blast at their tables and won about $200 there with blackjack. As for eats, check out this chinese place in which I cant remember the name to save my life located at Ballys. Great place thats been overlooked.

If you want the flash, stay on The Strip. If you want good ol' Vegas (single deck blackjack tables, cheaper buffets), stay downtown. No matter where you stay, definitely go visit the other.

If you want some old school card games, check out War at New York New York.

I always like to stay downtown. The strip is nice to visit and see shows, but everything is so damn far away from each other. Downtown you have tons of casinos(although some are getting a little too old and I don't go to anymore :( ) lots of restaurants, Tony Romas :) , lots of buffets, fast food places, lots of little shops. It's got everything and much cheaper than on the strip. Plus, if you catch the Sam's Town Bus you can just use it to travel to the strip via Sam's Town(which is cool to visit anyways :) for free. There is a city bus you can use that's just right off of freemont to go to the strip that's like 2-3 bucks. Plus freemont street is covered which is awesome considering Vegas is in a desert valley.

Best "party" hotels are Hard Rock and the Palms

Best hotel in general is Bellagio....absolutely no comparison

Best show BY FAR is Danny Ganz

Go to the Golden Nugget and check out Matt Dusk. Then taunt him by begging to perform on stage with him...

    Thanks for the replies,
I’ve been to Vegas plenty of times, and I’m really looking for a more seasoned response.
I know Downtown has the best blackjack action, but I’m looking for a specific casino to cut down on time hunting for one.

Restaurants I frequent/recommend are Emrils Fish House at MGM, the Bellagio Champagne brunch buffet, Rio Buffet, Hamada of Japan at Rio, and Steakhouse Les Artiste at Paris.

The best Show that I have seen is “O” at the Bellagio.
This time I hope to go see Blue Man Group or Penn and Teller.

The best hotel I’ve stayed in was Bellagio (internet promotion),
But they say the Venetian is much nicer, and the Wynn in April 2005 is supposed to surpass both.

Delmonico's Steakhouse in the Venetian is damn good, but expensive. IMO, the best buffets are at Aladdin (Spice Food World Market) and Bellagio.

Wynn hotel looked really cool when I was in Vegas a few weeks ago, but it's basically North Strip. I consider anything north of TI, to be on the North Strip, which I find dingy and full of riff-raff.

My parents live in Henderson and frequent Main Street Station for it's buffet. My dad consistently wins small jackpots there on their quarter slot machines.

If you want to try something different...the Hawaiian plate lunches at The California Hotel are pretty good. Try the kahlua pig (shredded pork)...it's ono!:D

I saw the Blue Man Group last month at Luxor. This show kicks major ass! I didn't know what to expect and thought it would just be then banging on pipes for 2 hours. But they do a lot of crazy things. It is very visual (bright paint and big props) and musical (they bang on pipes and play lots of music with a band).

    Highly recommend!

The Midnight Fantasy X at the Aladdin is pretty cool in an artsy sexy nudy girl way.

Umm, hottest chicks in Vegas are at: The Palms, The Hard Rock, Bellagio, MGM's new ultralounge (actually like 2 yrs old, but still new to me...i forgot the name though), oh and the line for the male revue Thunder Down Under at the Excalibur: the hottest chicks in Vegas with like a 99 to 1 girl to guy ratio in that crowd. Haven't seen the show, but I'd imagine a bunch of horney girls exiting that show, so if you want to meet chicks in a good mood, that's a place.

Cheap food: downtown baby. Oh and like 7 dollar supper buffet at the Texas Station off the freeway. Not worth it unless you have a car. Terrible's has a great chicken dinner for like 5 bucks and a full chicken for like 7bucks. You cannot finish this meal.

Then again, a lot of my meals are comped anyways if you play enough. So get a players card and since a lot of these casinos are owned together (MGM, NYNY, Bellagio, Mirage), any rated gambling you do there will all add up together to get comped meals.

I recommend the Blue Man Group and staying away from single deck blackjack tables with 6:5 odds.

so you think the odds of a multideck shoe are better than a single deck with 6:5?
