All you've literally done is noticed a trope, a very common trope, used in MANY movies, books, shows. A trope isn't intrinsically bad because most things, dare I say easily over 95% of things are unoriginal and just have a new paint on it.

The ONLY reason you're complaining about it is because you've been told to. Otherwise, give me an example of a 'poorly' written female character and it'll be easy to find an opposite male character written nearly the exact same way.
