Shouldn't they just blame Kerry for putting on that goofy outfit? Quit pointing fingers you bunch of finger pointers. The panic button has been pushed. http://drudgereport.com/dnc7.htm DEMS CLAIM NASA LEAKED PHOTOS TO SMEAR Kerry campaign manager Mary Beth Cahill claims 'dirty tricks' by NASA after it released 'surprise' photographs showing the Dem presidential hopeful dressed in a space suit crawling through a rocket hatch. Cahill, asked by FOXNEWS whether it was a dirty trick, said: 'Well, what do you think?' No photos were supposed to be taken, she said. Begin Transcript: HUME: i must ask you about this photograph that suddenly turned up and fell in our laps last night nobody thought it was come. nobody had reported on the event which led to-t but there he was, the senator, on all fours in this very peculiar outfit, which i guess nasa had given him. how did that come about? CAHILL: well, yesterday senator john glenn, obviously he was an astronaut in his previous life sexrvings senator carr took a tour of a bio facility at nasa. it was just the two of them, and the nasa staff, and all of a sudden this is a leaked photo. HUME: it was leaked? CAHILL: yes. HUME: it was made by nasa, right? CAHILL: yes, it was. HUME: so the campaign had no idea there would be any photographs. CAHILL: none. HUME: when it was agreed he would put on his th costume. CAHILL: there was no press there. there was -- nothing. all of the sudden these photographs are out. HUME: do you smell a dirty trick here? CAHILL: well, what do you think? HUME: that isa is not a particularly political organization. CAHILL: this was a pledge i want tour, obviously that, senator glenn and senator kerry were taking at cape canaveral, and all of the sudden these photographs appeared, and, you know, take it as you may. brit: well, is there any concern that this photo might prove as embarrassing as the fabled tank photo did in 1988? CAHILL: you know, i think probably nasa will release the photograph of senator glenn, former astronaut, in the same – HUME: in fact, there is a shot with a bunch of them in these outfits. he is not running, of course. CAHILL: and the thing is this is a legitimate tour of a nasa facility, and this photograph appeared out of nowhere. we were surprised. we're not surprised now. HUME: you don't have anyone in mind? do you think -- CAHILL: i don't.
Kerry looks eerily comfortable and natural on his knees in that second picture. Service with a smile!
I'm thinking he is dressed like that because he was trying to help GWB find his lost dime bag of cocaine.
Faos your uninformed, head stuck in the sand opinions don't bother me. Keep em coming. In fact, could you post a Drudge article for laughs? I get a kick out of those.
Do you use the "head stuck in the sand" phrase in every post? Come back when you've had 100 posts under your belt, son.
Actually Kerry is dressed like that because he had to be in order to be where he was. Who cares? I haven't heard very much uproar about these pics, and it's nothing like Dukakis in the tank. As much as some would wish it was, it just isn't getting that much attention.
Yes, post count thats the answer. You should be proud. In fact, I heard they give out iron on patches for number of posts here, is that true? Do you normally attack someone's post count? Is that a sign that you are admitting defeat? Curious minds want to know. OSTERICH
So the other posts in this thread, and others, are tolerable? I don't see you calling anyone else out.
Apparently the democrats and Cahill in particular. Why else would they be pissed the photos got released? All candidates should know not to dress in something goofy this time of year.
Actually I don't think Cahill even cares that much about the photos. I think what Cahill is upset about is that something underhanded may be behind the pics being released. I don't have a problem with Kerry wearing the appropriate clothing for what he was doing.
Not "calling you out" since this is not the WWE and I don't mean any offense. I was referencing your response to my post in the Clinton speech thread where I found your "kool-aid" caption funny. Apparently, my current attempt at humor was misguided and not clear. Mea culpa. It only seems like I'm singling you out because you have started so many threads in this forum. I don't have to agree with them to find them entertaining, and by starting the thead, I am assuming you are seeking responses.
What's the big deal?...Kerry always looks like a zombie with "nice hair"... That outfit can't disquise this fact...
We are clearly out numbered here. Someone has to start some threads to even it out a little. I don't mind being the whipping boy.
It is getting truly sad for the GOP when they are reduced to attacking Kerry for wearing a static suit in a clean area within NASA.
GOP Hopes to Pull a 'Dukakis' on Kerry By WILL LESTER, Associated Press Writer BOSTON - Republicans ridiculed John Kerry on Tuesday for his shifting position on the war in Iraq, and for a photo released by NASA showing the Democratic presidential candidate crawling out of a space shuttle dressed in a hooded anti-contamination suit. The photo evoked memories of an ad showing 1988 Democratic presidential candidate Michael Dukakis riding in a tank while wearing a helmet. At the time, Republican strategists for President Bush's father compared the governor in the tank helmet to "Rocky the Flying Squirrel." That image was widely replayed and Dukakis was soundly beaten by President Bush's father. Asked the significance of the photo of Kerry in the anti-contamination suit, Republican chairman Ed Gillespie smiled broadly and said, "We just thought it was a great photo." http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20040728/ap_on_el_pr/cvn_loyal_opposition_14
"Sen. Bob Graham (back), D-Fla., former astronaut and Sen. John H. Glenn (front left), D-Ohio, Sen. John F. Kerry, D-Mass., and Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla., don clean room attire during a tour of the Orbiter Processing Facility (OPF). The “bunny suits” are required dress for anyone coming in close proximity to the orbiter Discovery, currently being prepared for flight on the next Space Shuttle mission. The tour of the OPF follows a public meeting Kerry held at the Dr. Kurt H." WOW! You guys really have nothing to run on do you?
