Quite apart from any conspiracy theories...i would be very uncomfortable with a voting process that left no paper trail.

It's just sad that only 4 short years ago Al Gore was the main event, and now he barely made it into "prime time". But then again only 4 short years ago we had a budget surplus . So things can change very rapidly.
