All the reports I've read say Trump's attorneys have not seen the charges. I'm assuming that's how a sealed indictment works.

Secret Service is responsible for his wellbeing. I can understand them being able to negotiate exceptions on jail cells and handcuffs as security threats. I don't see a security argument for the mug shot. That seems more like a political negotiation. I think I'm glad for it though. If a mug shot gets taken, we'd be seeing it in political propaganda from both sides for the rest of our lives. I could do without that bs.
Except that the other charges for which Trump is being investigated won't go away just because of this. He could be found guilty of this and other charges as well.
Its like the little factoid people like to cite about Al Capone -- ran a mafia empire and had people murdered but taken down on tax charges.
The support from politicians and pundits that usually dislike Trump is odd. The unsealed indictments will be telling.
It's not just GOP though. It may devolve into that but there are many on both sides saying this is unnecessary or at the least ill-timed.
