What is he going to say? You've been riding my ass for years for everything that's wrong with the Rockets even though I've been carrying the whole team almost single-handedly. Now, I still don't want to leave but you can't get me out of town fast enough. Thanks for all the support.
wasn't Francis voted the most popular athlete in Houston or something of that nature not too long ago? Sure there are people who criticize him, but he's still got a ton of fans here
I will still be a great fan of Steve's, Orlando will now be alot of people's 2nd favorite team to root for. Go ROX and go Magic!
Translation: Dribble the ball around and if the shot clock is down to 3 seconds and you still can't get open to shoot, give the ball to Yao, then everything will be OK. j/k, can't resist. .
oh well you guys can clown on SF3 all you want.. personally im gonna miss the guy. I think he was a stand up person and warrior on the court. Go Rox! Go Magic! (unless we meet in the finals) J
pgabriel Look my fren don't be too hard on yourself. I am surprised that you got aroused by that mere stuff that I never really meant. So get a grip of yourself, SOF.
I wasn't making fun of Francis. I was making fun of this board. I was surprised nobody jumped on that quote and made that joke so far.

Just would like to share with readers/posters on this site on what Francis said upon his arrival into Shanghai yesterday (July 12) afternoon about his future relationship with Yao Ming, his current state of mind, and who he recommends as the new Rox leader. Here are 2 versions of that interview. I will try to combine them in my translation. http://sports.sina.com.cn/k/2004-07-27/08261026155.shtml http://sports.sohu.com/20040727/n221216909.shtml In Summary When asked about his feeling about Beijing and Shanghai, he said he had heard about how modern the 2 cities are, and he thought the 2 cities are great and beautiful; as for Shanghai, he knew it is the home town of Yao Ming, and that he had promised Yao Ming he will visit Shanghai one day, and so he came. When asked about his future relationship with Yao Ming, he re-emphasized that he and Yao Ming will still be great buddies like brothers to each other even now that they are of different teams. When asked about the chances of the New Rockets in the new season now under Yao Ming, he refused to predict, but added that Yao Ming will only be getting better and better, as Yao Ming is that type of player that can help to bring the best out of his team mates and a team to the next level. As for himself, he felt sad about leaving Rockets and Yao Ming; after all he had started his career there for the past 5 years. But to him, it is important to remain playing professional basketball; as long as he can stay in NBA, it does not really matter to change teams. When asked whether there was any transformation in state of mind after the trade to the Magic, Francis said: "It is like moving houses; when you move from your old house that you have lived for some while, it is natural that you feel sad and can't let go; but once you move in a new house, you will start to think about how to decorate the new house and get accustomed to it." When asked whether he thought Yao Ming will be the new Rockets leader in the locker room now that he left, Francis nominated Jim Jackson. He added that maybe it is not for him to predict (now that he has left); he thought that there are a few players in the Rockets like Yao Ming, Tracy McGrady and Jim Jackson that have leader capability; personally he preferred Jim Jackson, as he is a great player, and he can help/support Yao Ming, and Houston Rockets needs him.
francis picking up some yaoisms. wow. im gonna miss that guy a whole lot. the fans that were on him are ungrateful jerks in my opinion. i supported the deal, but i always supported francis as well and that cant be said for everybody here. oh well.
