So what's the workaround for watching the blacked out games?

    VPN no longer a solution?

I used TMobile free MLB.tv and a VPN to watch games all last year.

I used NordVPN last year... Haven't tried this year. Sometimes when the VPN was active I couldn't login to MLB.tv, so I'd turn it off, login, turn it back on, then open the stream.

I am going to try Google VPN this year...

I don't have a laptop and this app says it does not support iOS or Android.

So here's what's been happening with me. There are games that it will end up letting me watch and then there are those blacks out. No rhyme or reason to it. I would like to figure it out so that I can always catch the games on my phone.

Yesterday, blacked out. Today, I'm allowed to watch it.

Strangely enough I watched the Astros game (supposed to be blacked out), and then after the game was over I tried to watch the Rangers game, blacked out.

    I live in Austin TX.

I haven't had luck with Google VPN, but CyberGhost has been working... 2 year (+3 months) subscrption for around 55$... I think the problem with Google is you can't control location through the settings... At least I don't see how... So random server it goes through could still be subject to blackout.

Yeah, that's probably gonna be the biggest issue with Google VPN. It seems to always route me through Northern California, so it's probably gonna be a no go for A's and Giants games.
