A non defensive team winning? Nah. I know that it's much much harder to defend in this day and age, but you still have to be acceptable defensively in the playoffs which Dallas is nowhere near.

Christian Wood keeps up his tradition of carrying teams into the lottery. 9/4/1 tonight to keep bumping up the Mavs lottery odds. Absolute stud.

Rick seeing the Mavs faltering without him. Thought bubble: "it's not so easy, is it?"

Mavs really need to go all in and max out Wood immediately

To be fair he is far from the issue on the Mavs.

He’s also getting the same complaints from mavs fans and Dallas radio hosts that we complained about: soft at the rim, trash on defense, awful screen setter, tunnel vision, selfish

Dude's scoring 62.5% TS to go along with shooting 3s at 37% Why do you even need to be hard at the rim if you pretty much get a bucket everytime you get the ball? With those kind of stats he can afford to be selfish and get tunnel vision they should be makinh him the no 2 option when he is on the court. He's also getting 7 rebs in just 26 mins of play.

Yeah CWood is bad at D but he isnt even starting for them lol, they expect their bench big to anchor the defense and score at an ungodly rate? People blamig him are just looking for scapegoats, he is far from being their issue esp at his contract.

Wood still stinks and the same loser he’s always been. Still laughing at all the past assumptions he would be the 2nd 3rd best player blah blah on a playoff team.

There is a reason he doesn't have a prominent role in a team that could definitely use his skill set. Wood is the definition of empty stats, not sure how you even defend him after seeing his sorry ass attitude on the court for a couple of seasons.

Empty stats? What does that even mean for a scorer on high efficiency? Whether you smiling or crying it doesnt matter what matters is if you put the ball in the hoop in an efficient manner. You are just letting your bias against Wood marr everything he does on the court. He is a defensive liability but so are Irving and Luka so that isnt anything new.

He sucks because we treated him as our franchise player but as a secondary option off the bench he is fine for that role.

It means that his stats mean jack **** despite him putting up efficient numbers.

Haha indeed. I have to say I am loving Jason Kidd failing at another head coach job.

It was his body language. Petulant and low effort on defense. Opposite of a leader. Didn’t seem to get hyped for teammates when they did well etc etc etc

Empty stats in almost a way that is opposite of Westbrook. Where he was inefficient but did all of the other things Wood is bad at.

Missed FT to lose the game. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
