No. Keep Silas. He is the bestest coach EVER. (sound of crickets) (sound of a mouse getting a hard-on) (sound of a fly farting)
I would love Nurse, but why are we all just assuming that he's going to suddenly be available this summer? Did I miss something?
This is one more possible outcome of getting lucky in the draft. Adding Scoot, or Wemby makes the Rockets are very appealing job for coaches and front office people.
Would love to have Nick Nurse just like I would love to have Ty Lue but I don't see either leaving no matter how loud their fanbases are.
No mention of Sam Cassell? Charles Lee just seems to jump off the page. Maybe signing Middleton helps with the transition. If he is our guy. That is responsible use of the cap.
Whoever we get has to have his own ruling and implementing the culture. We are still operating like a Morey to a McHale, just puppet business.
I think the staff as a whole needs replacement. I was hoping that Coach Fat would be more involved this season.
Hiring Udoka might increase the odds of getting Jalen Brown. Supposedly they had a good coach/player relationship. Brown is not staying in Boston.
I'm looking for someone who is really overqualified to be an assistant coach at this point. Sam's a Rockets legend but he's not there yet as far as coaching goes, and I'm not willing to take a bigger risk on our future for the nostalgia of bringing him back. No to Middleton for me. Too expensive, too old. Personally I would go for Kenny Atkinson. Did a great job in BKN and has been assistant under Kerr. Holds people accountable, thinks about both sides of the ball. I think he'd run a tight, disciplined ship.
Ime wasn't married, but did have some relations with a married co-worker whose husband also worked for the Celtics. The coworker was a friend of Danny Ainge who helped get her & her husband jobs with the Celtics. The sexual harrasment claims occurred after the husband overheard sexually suggestive conversation from Ime to his wife over a ring doorbell camera. They were dropped when it was outed that it was a consenting relationship. Super messy, but not a indication of his coaching. If not for a hot mic he might be leading the Celtics to the finals again. I don't think they will make it without him. He's not the first leader to make bad decisions based on his other head's direction. Seems like a great coach, I like that he stopped his players from whining to the refs. I'd make it clear player's mom's are off limits though.
Jaylen Brown is the Best Player on the Celtics. Best Defender and Scorer. Jayson Tatum has looks and Height it doesn't mean he is the Best Player
Would we be playing Jaylen Brown at the 3 in this hypothetical scenario? Green/Brown/Jabari/Wemby? Who's running the point and who's running the team? Primary team needs this off-season are rim protection/point guard/coach/GM. I've seen enough of Stone at this point.
If Nick Nurse can turn Tari Eason and Jabari Smith Jr. Similar to Kawhi Leonard, Pascal Siakam on the Raptors. Nick Nurse will be the best Fit. Development and Respect.
