I don't want Luka, but "gut our team" is a funny phrase for a squad that might lose a lot of games in the development league.
Luka and Kyre mesh well. They could mesh even better, but their styles are too different. Which may not be a bad thing. Lack of defense is the biggest weakness of this team, then offensive rebounding. Kyre likes to push the ball and play fast. Mavericks have more transition points when only Kyre plays VS when Luka plays. This is great for regular season, as there are more easy baskets to be had. Luka's style is more suited for playoffs as he brings the ball up court slowly and likes to play against set defense. Maybe Kyre is a bit too passive when Luka is on court and defers to him too much. But having Top Q1 na Q3 scorer in Luka and Top Q4 scorer in Kyre is never a bad thing. It's only defense that is killing them. They play small all the time, which is energy consuming to do throughout the whole season. They need a rim-protecting big and a 3&D big wing. Since DFS left, Bullock and Green are too small.

I was gleeful when they traded for Kyrie, so happy at the thought of their incoming implosion. F the Mavs!
Ehh this season has taken shine off of Luka for me; temperamental, weird shot selection, poor defender, always whiny
Is it weird this doesn't even scare me? Draymond and LeBron aren't what they used to be. LeBron is still very good, but it sure isn't translating to wins for the Lakers. His health is a whole lot less reliable too.
Both Draymond and LeBron are getting old in NBA terms. Kyrie is a mess and Luka ain't smiling. I would love to see this happen.
