Insanely so…my teams are out. For years and years neither of my schools ever mattered. I loved it regardless. It’s just wildly entertaining given that anything can ****ing happen and it often does…or at least it does more than the playoff formats of other sports.
This was the year that either or both of UH/UT would be there. Oh well, **** **** **** As I said before, bring on the Astros.
the refs cheated for Miami allowing them to shoot 33 free throw attempts to UT 15 free throw attempts total. Like wtf is that bull shii?! The refs stop UT momentum many times allowing Miami to come back
I understand your argument, and you may well be correct, Miami may take it all. Let's just put it this way. UConn appears supremely talented. They are BIG, skilled, and they wear teams down. This is all for fun, so we will find out soon enough. Personally, I will be cheering for Miami, so we Cougar fans can say we only lost to the ultimate champion.
Total teams in the tournament Texas - 7 Florida - 2 Final Four Texas - 0 Florida - 2 Final Four site Texas Laughable and sad
That foul on Cunningham was an absolute FU to kids worldwide taught how to box out. UT got screwed on that one
Yeah, I didn't mean to come off so certain about outcomes that are clearly WILDLY unpredictable...particularly in this year's tournament!! Sorry if I came off like a jerk.
I could not believe that call. I was cooking and watching the game with my son who I coach a tournament basketball program with. I literally told him, I'd like to use that tape to show kids how to box out. When the foul was called, I assumed it was over the back. Next thing I know, Miami was on the free throw line. Crazy.
its really terrible in these situations how kids/players get cheated out of a game that they're playing all out for. Rather than letting the players who are playing the game decide for themselves the outcome, the refs put it in their hands to dictate which way it plays out. I hope one days refs are punished for blatant bad calls in some way. It really has gotten to that point
The fact that they called it right and then did the ref huddle to change it is what really pissed me off. Tie game with a minute left, went from FTs for the Horns to FTs for Miami. "He wouldn't even look at me," Cunningham [said] regarding the official. "[The official] had nothing to say....Boxed him out, he went over the back, it was a foul and he had nothing to say....We had it, borderline gave it away," he told reporters. "That's a quality team with some elite players but we had the game in our hands and it slipped out." I'm mostly over it, same with UH. Pending Astros season helps a ton, but what a cockpunch those games were.
That foul was weird. It's almost like they rewarded the Miami player for jumping that high. Imagine a scenario where the Miami player was 6 inches lower to the ground. Cunningham's box out pushes the Miami player away from the ball, nobody flops over anyone, and UT gets possession... and possible FTs from an over the back call. Instead, the Miami player got so high that Cunningham's box out effectively undercut him. I think the ref was playing some 5D chess there and was trying to assume intent on Cunningham, which is kinda silly. By the letter of the law, that was OTB. Trying to assign some nefarious intent to Cunningham after the fact is just a bad idea on all fronts.

You are fine, one of the nicest guys on the board. I already miss college basketball. Not enough to watch the NBA.
It was either a no-call or a foul on Miami. The refs had 3 chances to get it right and they chose the worst option.
Sucks for the city. https://www.fox26houston.com/news/m...et-prices-drop-least-expensive-since-2014.amp
Final 4 tickets have plummeted. What was at least $1000 to sit in the lower bowl sections can now be purchased for around $150. won't be surprised for it to drops a little lower, when folks are more desperate for the lack of interest in any of these 4 teams locally.
