Allen has to be better, man those turnovers - while not the only thing that went wrong - still they helped Miami swing the momentum easy
Miami wasn't as "on fire" as they were against Houston, but pulled it out anyway. UConn is going to destroy whoever they play and will win it all going away.
One of my friends is gloating about picking Miami to win it all as a homerun bet, because I mocked her picks. Looks like she's about to win her bracket because nobody else sure as hell picked them. Even if she doesn't win... damn. Maybe this is why I don't watch college ball much. lol.
What they are doing right now in the tournament is as “on fire” as I’ve seen since a much better Baylor team went bananas in the final four. Miami’s offense is no ****ing joke. College basketball teams don’t just routinely put up around 90 points…Miami did that twice in 2 consecutive games against two exceptionally good defensive squads in UH and UT. UH defense and pace is about as good as it gets, and it didn’t deter Miami’s streak at all…and tonight they were one point off of what they scored against the Coogs. They’re off their rocker right now…had they played like this all year, they’d be a 1 seed. But no one plays like this for very long. They’re as hot as it gets in college basketball right now. Nobody is going to beat a team that’s this hot, even against contested shots and great defense. I have no idea if they can sustain this, because it’s college basketball…but if Miami plays against UConn like they played against UH and UT, they’ll win by 7 or more.
Honestly, this is why I love college basketball. I love the one and done format. I love that it’s about being the best team THAT DAY. To me that’s way more compelling than most of my life being able to tell you with near certainty who would be playing for the NBA championship year in and year out before opening night. March Madness is maybe the best sporting event in the world on an annual basis.
