If I were a fan of the Wildcats, that last sentence in this quote would infuriate me.

For reference, Sharpe's last RSCI rank:

    ESPN: #1 in 2022, de-ranked
Rivals: #1 in 2022, #3 in 2021 behind Chet, Paolo
    247: #1 in 2022, #3 in 2021 behind Chet, Paolo

“Looked like the number 1 pick” That’s extremely high praise. Evaluations like this could potentially shake up the draft.

If Sharpe breaks into the tier 2 discussion, Ivey vs Sharpe could be a really tough call.

I get the Sharpe has all the upside in the world, but I don't see how you can gain any solid perspective of his defensive, bb iq, and other qualities outside of just being able to get buckets. Especially when the other Top 4 prospects have provided a much larger sample size from which to analyze. To me that puts Ivey above Sharpe.

Yeah it’s tough. Sharpe has the pedigree as the # 1 ranked HS player. Ivey was # 86 in 2020 and didn’t blow up until his sophomore year in college. Sharpe has that what if you can get a # 1 guy at # 4 or 5 pick that can make or break a team or GM.

If we end up at # 4 and the three bigs are gone it could be awfully difficult.

not tough anymore. Sharpe has jumped him. Ivey is older than Josh Christopher. Sharpe will prob be the top 3 for a few teams

Ivey would have gone in the lottery last season. He did really well at the U-19 tournament as well.

It may well turn out that Sharpe has leap frogged Ivey, but I am not quite willing to go there. Ivey is an exceptional athlete, has performed very well and most scouts are aware that his play making and scoring were limited by the terrible spacing and style of play on Purdue.

Sounds like sour grapes and somebody trying to stir **** up.

Who was harmed by any of this as if Calipari can't recruit at a high level.

Everybody and their mother knew it was an 80% chance he would not play for Kentucky and it's his right.

Thanks for posting but this is a trash article.

I saw this a long time ago. It’s an unofficial measurement and I didn’t want to put it out there, but it’s making its rounds today so here you go. Impressive vertical nonetheless, not sure if it’s 49 inches though.

Sharpe's advisors are HOF worthy. They correctly told him to attend measurements to record his stats and then told him to ditch the scrimmage to avoid any chance of getting exposed.

Too bad Leonard Miller didnt get the same memo.

All Sharpe has proven to me so far is he is a great athlete with good size for his position. But then again so was Dion Waiters. I guess we'll see if he is real or not soon enough. I'm just really happy I'm not the team in the position of drafting him.

What to like is that he's analyzing the defender's footwork and position and then attacking. Not relying on his athleticism. Something he clearly has. There's a lot to get excited about. He's going to get shots. And so far appears able to finish. If you can take a guy in the top 10 that could legit be a #1, you gotta be happy with that. Mystery is fine. Because the way I see it, most of his game is not a mystery to anyone. It's a solid investment anywhere from 5-10.

If he falls past 5 to 7 at Portland or 8 NO I hope Houston is all over offering 17 and Wood to move up.

He won’t make it past SA at 9. They will snatch him up like they did Kawhi.

Had Emoni Bates pulled Sharpe and dodged college he would be the number 1 pick of his class. Instead he got exposed and stock dropped.

Twins should take this route and show up in draft camp. If theh post elite nos and show up in the scrimmage that should go a long way in boosting their stock.

Each twin does the drills he's best at.
