I hope this team USA loss motivates them to bring out at least B+ level starting pitching in the next tournament. Was hoping Japan won this one cause it was obvious the fans, players, country invested more into it. Respect to the dudes on the US that did play, especially Wainwright pushing 40. Understand the Kershaws, Verlander, Mad Max skipping, but disappointed in the Nola’s, Webbs, McKenzie types.
In a tournament like this, with betters going up against unknown pitching, you need to bring your best on the mound. Starting pitching was always the teams Achilles heel, and it showed wen it mattered the most.
So nobody gonna mention there was already a thread on the wbc? Y’all done made me create another thread for nothing? See this is why John Wall wanted out. Also imagine coming from an all time high of the finals to a random Tuesday of stros vs the Rays lmao. Zzzzzzzz snooze fest
Bro, half the team was playing in the tournament and you didn't think we would be talking about it here?
Ohtani going to the Dodgers seems weird. Yes he doesn't have to move and LA is a huge market for him but he already had a taste of the LA market as an Angel. Think it makes more sense to try his hands somewhere else such as SF or SD. Mets make sense from a $$$/competition standpoint but I do not know if he wants to go to the East Coast. Hopefully SD has the funds to pay him because I don't think SF really does, unless they pocket the money they saved from the Correa debacle.
