@TheFreak @Rocketman95 @Major Those 3 dudes were like The Three Amigos of Austin. Major still posts but very rarely in the hangout. I still see TheFreak on the site lurking but rarely posting and as for Rocketman95? Clutch nicknamed him “Hangout Boy” but I haven’t seen anything from him in ages.
Checking in from circle c as well actually ran into dadakota at the local twin liquor around eight years ago. Somehow I recognized him from this site
I hope you found some new peeps to hang at sxsw @pgabriel I always thought the W had some good shows that was underrated. @basso
missing it this year. not for covid, but priorities have shifted. also, @Deckard still won't have a drink with me, so what's the point?
That's a great song. Thanks for that. The lyrics are close in places and wildly off in others, which isn't a surprise, time and music being what it is. Yes, that hair can be a pain in the ass, having had a lot of it to deal with in the past. Usually, I tied it back. It's a problem I wish I still had, but Dad gave me loads of his DNA, the good and the bad. Quite a mixture! Losing my hair's the least of the bad, unfortunately.
Moved from W 5th to Dallas a few months ago. Was happy to experience Austin but it wasn't the amazing place everyone made it out to be.
You were several years late. Missed much of it. Too much, unfortunately. I'd take it over Dallas in a New York minute, though. One of my kids lives there. Mores the pity.
On a normal day, yes. But the "dollar sale" is good for nicer stuff. I got about $40 off a bottle of Lagavulin 16 this time around.
Just southwest of downtown Austin...Love it here, but I could move somewhere with better summer weather...
