Woke has failed so they want to pretend it never happened. It is largely related to being awake which many of its proponent equate to seeing the world with a Marxist-influenced lens. The insanity of its proponents has resulted in a lot of lies and embarrassing video clips and now it's become a negative trait. The left realizes its definition is gone and they want to get away from it because the youth see them are fools.
Both anecdotal and polling data show that youth are far more supportive of “woke” issues such as LGBTQ, transgender, and issues of social Justice. Here’s an elementary school fact for you MAGA guys who hate education so you might not know this: The word AWAKE is an Adjective. Meaning the word means nothing unless it’s attributed to a noun. Ex: MY Body is AWAKE. My body being the noun. another example: My hatred for a broadway musical has awoken. The word Woke means nothing if it isn’t attributed to any particular noun or verb. So when you come in here using the term “woke” as an implied noun or verb… You are by definition… a fcking idiot.
Thank you for saving me the effort of replying to @dachuda86's sad post. I don't know where he runs across the sources he borrows from in order to post these nonsensical takes. It's the pity of the world that the fellow wastes his time at those websites. You missed the point, race swapping is only racist if its a white person playing the role of a black character. A black person can now play the role of any character regardless of the character's race. Its okay one way but not the other despite it being the exact same thing except one is frowned upon by a certain group of people. I'm not against black actors and actresses, some of the best and most talented actors are black. This has nothing to do with black people or white people, black children have had great and talented black role models for a very long time now. Black children can also have great white role models as well, same goes for white children. When I was a little kid watching The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air you think I couldn't look up to Will Smith? That I couldn't identify with him or like him because Will Smith was black and I was Latin x? Nah I still watched the crap out of Men In Black.....
