If Altuve is out for some time, would Hensley be the primary backup 2B? Or does that honor go to (shakes head ) Dubon ?

Being a right handed hitter, wouldn't you be more concerned about the left hand?

Just trying to stay positive that the injury occurring to his right hand likely not as severe vs it hitting his lead left hand.

Broken thumb sucks but is better than many other worse possibilities from a timeline perspective.

6 to 8 weeks for Harper when he broke his thumb.

Rosenthal not a trustworthy source. Be advised.

I broke my thumb once and it took 4 weeks to heal. Hopefully Altuve can be back in May regardeless but thumbs heal reasonably fast

He just rehashes what others say or what he overhears.

It would make sense it was some sort of thumb injury.

The Astros will probably say “right hand discomfort… will re-evaluate in a week…”

Seeing how much this game means to the players is special. I cant believe some fans are whining. Injuries happen its a part of life. Watching great baseball is always great and these games have been awesome.

Baseball on the international level is something else. Baseball is the best sport in the world. Period.

Let’s see if you’re singing the same tune if this turns out to be much worse than a 4-8 week sideline for a broken thumb, which would be bad enough considering all the other injuries facing the Astros right now.
