    RIP, Dick Fosbury. inventor of the Fosbury Flop


    His claim to fame was that he revoluntionized the high jump, utilizing the "Fosbury Flop" to win the Olympic gold,
    set an Olympic record, and take aim at the world record in the high jump.




    before Fosbury Flop technique, the straddle technique was the generally accepted one.
