I was surprise the Bulls started to double him. Wow, if Jabari can keep his confidence up and Silas let Sengun play more this can be a dangerous team. Teams usually double Sengun or Jalen in the game but if Jabari play like he did in Auburn….we just need Van Vleet at point guard and Wemby or Amen we are ready to go
I need Bari to get in these Rico Hines runs with the whole damn team. Bari was ghost all summer. he needs the reps. Kj was at those runs all summer and he made HUGE strides this year. Bari needs to perfect that turnaround post jumper against men.
Actually i recall Joe Ingles high school days in Canberra when they played the Summer heights high - @Mathloom
All he needs to do in the off season is launch shots. Come back as a 45%/40% player next year and take his time with developing everything else.
Whatevs he is doing, is working. He reduced his 3 pt attempts to 5 tries a game. He has to go to the rack or go with midrange.
Jabari’s game has been developing quite nicely all season…the shortsighted haters couldn’t see it though he was just missing his shots, and now he’s not
don’t make me slap your broke a$$ boy you hear me. We all know you were hating on Jabari in the beginning of the season you clown.
I have to admit. If he keeps playing like this he'll shut alot of us haters up. He looks like a new player
Quick Reminder - Jabari Smith is 19 years old, and won't be 20 until May 13. Jabari was one of the youngest freshmans last year and dominated in college. This is why I kept saying we need to give him time, as he shouldn't even be an NBA rookie until next year. The hyped Thompson twins are 20 years old already and 4 months older than Jabari. Please let this sink in. While the Thompson twins are playing against AAU players, Jabari is playing against NBA players. Also, Jabari smith is 6 months younger than Brandon Miller from Alabama.
I love a good beef, I apologize Reeko, but Gimmme, you gotta pull some receipts. I need these spice levels to rise.
Folks are too quick to write off a prospect, as if they will attain credibility that they wrote off a player at the onset. I’m sure being a couch GM makes for great conversations with friends, but wouldn’t it be easier on your person to just take a break from the tank process, if it too much of a mental drain? I think that between Jabari, Green, and Sengun, there is a trio that will be able to thrive in a few years. And knowing that potentially there may be a Scoot or Victor potentially in the horizon is amazing.
They love to sweep it under the rug. "Yeah he's 19 but that's no excuse for XYZ" they say. Practically ALL 19 year olds in NBA history sucked at defense and almost none of them were worthy of playoff team minutes at that age which is the standard people hold Jabari to. "He's got to make his wide open shots" >> A common mantra but if his confidence is shaken it will affect hitting open shots. That's a 19 year old thing. Needing to gain confidence in the NBA. It makes sense but some people are SO EXCITED about calling someone's career halfway into their age 19 season lol. Great post btw.
I knew his shooting struggle was all mental. Once he could overcome that, he'd be fine. Let me say this again. Jabari has been a good shooter all his basketball life, not just a "fluke" college season. A shooter doesn't forget how to shoot. The only thing stopping him is lack of confidence.
