UH and UT have the same problem.... You can play all the defense you want, but if you can't score for looong stretches then you're gonna kinda get ****ed against very good teams.
Don’t even dare play tomorrow lol. Kelvin is going to hold him out anyway regardless if he wants to play
That's been the problem forever. The difference this year is we have threats that can ignite suddenly and our free throw shooting is actually passable for once.
Oh I know, I've seen it enough. Same and Same is the solution, hope it's this year. I'm rooting for both of us.
UAB vs Florida Atlantic is a really good game that's about to happen on CBSSN? or something like that.
Paws Up! Another total ambush. Pure silence when Sasser went down, like the sound of a whisper, but we are still the team to beat. And we are now one win away from the 1 seed. Wooo!
If I've been rooting for UH since I knew what college basketball was...about 42 years ago You can maybe root for UT here and there. It won't kill ya ETA: If UH isn't the #1 overall seed, I don't know who should be
Cougars are fifth in adjusted efficiency on offense and defense. No other team holds top-10 rankings in both, and only three others—Alabama, Texas and UConn are even top-20 on both ends.
UH deserves to be #1 overall tournament seed. Vegas oddsmakers, almost every metric out there, and all of us homers clearly see that UH deserves to be #1 overall seed. But there is a small contingent of sportswriters and competing athletic programs that are bound and determined to put Kansas in that spot despite the fact that 6 of their 7 losses were by double figures. If not Kansas they want Alabama. It's been an historic year for Houston. We are the only program than has been top 5 all year. We have been ranked #1 three times this year. We could very easily be 34-0 this year. We have had three win streaks of 9 games or greater. When is the last time a program has done that? I was curious who made up the NCAA selection committee so I looked it up. It is composed of 12 people. The person in charge is the VP of intercollegiate athletics at Bradley. Next you have 4 commisssioners representing the Atlantic 10, the Big Sky, the Sun Belt, and the SWAC. The other 7 that have a say in the selection process are the athletic directors for Iowa State, North Carolina, Minnesota, Samford, Butler, Arizona, and Alabama. These are the individuals that get to decide the ultimate tournament bracket. No wonder U of H is having such a hard time getting the respect they deserve and getting the #1 overall seed. It's like there are 12 Seth Davis's that get to decide where we are placed for the tournament. Last I checked Seth Davis finally came around and likes us. Maybe some of these will too. For now by looking at it, the only one that I could see that might be on our side is the commissioner of the SWAC. There are certainly a lot of politics involved. That is why I have taken a position that it is what it is and blissfully look forward to every game as we silence more and more of the doubters. For now we have a game to play later today against Memphis that really does not matter in the grander scheme of things. For Memphis it is going to be like facing us in the final championship game. I am sure Sasser wants to play but will not play unless cleared by the doctors. Should be an interesting game.
