I understand they're entertainers, not olympians (who has strict rules). I wonder if the dream team players actually make it a point to go into the summer games juice-free? Or does the olympics committee also turn a blind-eye to these "entertainers"?

There is selective outrage when it comes to PED's, no one cares if NBA players use them, they are essentially a freak show anyway. No 5'9 random fools themselves into believing that the ONLY reason they didn't make it to the NBA was due to other people using PED's, that kind of delusional BS only really happens in baseball.....it's not any more correct, but it's easier to convince yourself of that delusion.

PED's could possibly help get you cut like a Greek God, but they aren't going to make you 6'10.

USA-NBA basketball team didn't participate in the Olympics games until they stopped control over them. That was the agreement upon the creation of Dream Team, because they wanted to make the Olympics more prestigious

 

The NBA drug tests rampantly. Until he is caught, or evidence produced, nothing of note.

 

It should be mandatory that all players are on the sauce if it enables you to play like Lebron.

The reason I'm in favor of cracking down on PED use is not about fairness per se, it's that the damage they do to your health is well-documented, and if a lot of players start using them then everyone has to use them or be at a severe disadvantage. So you end up with the whole league being a bunch of guys hurting themselves to play a sport for entertainment.

It's not really a "well that's his choice" thing when the choice is to use them or end up out of the league.

Call me crazy but I don't believe people should feel like they have to do permanent damage to their bodies in service of my (or anyone else's) entertainment.

Focusing on fair vs unfair so much like they did in baseball is not productive. Barry Bonds would still have been an all-time great with or without the roids, same as LeBron. It's not about that, it's about taking care of the players.

The selective outrage is due to the small selective in the NBA that get put on blast, and the reason why it is a bigger deal in MLB is because of the heavier spotlight when they had to go speak in front of the House/capitol hill and how Canseco dry snitching turned out to be true

If the NBA had more players dry snitching like Cans eco it would be on the level of MLB

Plus they claim others way back in MLB were using PEDs as well just diff type of substance

PED usage is common in all sports, but Cycling/NFL/MLB seem to get the most heat and media coverage
