Yes we did. We got Allen. Then we screwed up by trading him away for peanuts.

So people think Harden will returns to Houston and follow what LeBron did in Cleveland. Trading our picks/prospects for star(s) to team up with Harden. I don't know man.

saw this game, he was really unimpressive on both ends. and i still can’t stop laughing when he casually trots down court like an alpaca

Harden was tanking his stock and the Rockets got like 5 picks and swaps from the deal. Harden wasnt exactly Anthony Davis when he was asking out the only other serious suitor was Morey who was offering Ben Simmons. MVP calibre? Bro its been like 3-4 yrs since Harden won mvp and he just experienced his xth consecutive flameout in the playoffs.

SGA was only in his 2nd year nobody knew he would be this good. Ingram wasnt really seen as valuable as he would be due for a payday already in fact Pelicans didnt even work out an extension for him when they got him. If Clippers knew SGA would play like this then obv they wouldnt include him in the trade and Lakers would just extend BI instead of trading him.

So with the Nets you wanna work with the perspective back then but then when talking about SGA and Ingram you wanna talk about how those players are playing today? Thats not exactly a fair assessment.

Playing on a stacked team made him the most overhyped rookie in years especially on Clutchfans.

If he is really as good as CF says then with 3 all stars already on the team Cavs should be one of the best teams in the L already and a favorite to win the title.

he showed some flashes, ie nice touch pass and good recovery on D

but the intensity seems to be missing in his mindset. for all the warts in jalen's game right now (shot selection, falling asleep on D, etc) he can still take over games at times when he locks in, and that's a rare commodity in this league

The worst part of that trade was that we went out of our way to get Oladipo hoping that he'd be good again as if he was just coming back from injury when in reality he had already been back for half a year and was clearly a shell of himself that whole time. Like does our team not have a scouting department that could tell us that Oladipo was done at that point?

Booker, Mitchell, KD, SGA, Embiid, Harden, Tatum, Brown, Ja, Jokic, Luka, Dame, Giannis, Fox, Derozan, Edwards, Lavine, Brunson, PG, Kawhi, Steph, Butler all undoubtedly more takeover ability than Jalen.

Then for guys who probably can do it better/same level:
MPJ, Murray, Garland, Haliburton, Lamelo, Trae, Randle, Lauri, Klay, Kristaps, Bojan, Kuzma, Rozier, Simons, Cj, Clarkson, Poole, Herro, Banchero, etc etc

It's not very rare anymore. Overall talent in the league is way up.

Not going to be overtly concerned, dudes from college will take their time pacing themselves for a 82 game season.

Heck, Wemby plays 34 games a year, that is a far cry from what has been played here.

    Their production will dip.

Maybe the caveat is "at his age"? Because everyone you listed is younger except Banchero who has worse efficiency than Green. Guys like Rozier, Kuzma, Simons etc cant do it better than Green now.

And guys like Randle are like approaching 30 and no where were the center of defensive attention at Green's age.

There are plenty of good defensive big men in the league who aren't go to offensive options which is Mobley's mold. They are also a dime a dozen and I'm not picking a roll man/lob threat who is a good defender as a 3rd overall pick.

And he is the one who coincidentally has a worse scoring efficiency.

But then he gets older and what does he become? Still just a scorer but better.

We don't have to rehash this bro. I don't think scoring is the hot commodity it was in the 90s when you had starters scoring 8 ppg. Everyone scores now. I want guys who do other things too.
