Win the draft and pick Wemby.
Sign Harden full 4 year max (47M in 2023
    Sign Draymond Green 4/130 (27M)
Trade for M. Bridges- Give the Nets back all their picks and swaps and send J. Smith .
    Trade KPJ for picks

Salary cap should be 134 with 162 Luxury Tax

    2023 Cap situation

    Starters

    Harden- 47M
    J. Green- 9M
    Bridges- 21M
    D. Green- 27M
    Wemby- 12M
    Total- 116M

    Bench-

    Sengun- 3.5
    Eason- 3.5
    Ty ty- 2.3
    Tate- 6.5
    KMJ-2M
    Total- 18M

That takes us to the cap

Roster filler x4 at league minimum

Midlevel (No idea- give me Jae Crowder here maybe?

That's a 9 man rotation of Harden, J. Green Mikael Bridges, Draymond and Wemby and a 9 man rotation of Sengun, Eason, Tate and Crowder. that leaves 12M to the luxury tax line if you can negotiate that from a technical sense.

That team has 2 guys that should play at an all star level (Harden and Bridges) 2 up and comers in Green and Wemby and a do it all vet in Green. Rotation shouldn't get buried . I think that team would be a top 4-6 team in the West next year a little behind Denver and Phoenix and if J. Green and Wemby become really good they could compete for a title in years 3 and 4 of Hardens deal. Then- in 4 years Green and Wemby are on their Rookie max deals, Bridges should be a 40M a year type and you should be able to convert Harden and D. Green's salary to another max spot type. If Wemby is a top 5 type guy that gives you a realistic shot (not great but 5-10% type) at a title on the Harden time frame and a definite window for Wemby and Green in their rookie extension deals.

    What's your perfect off season?

You can't do what you suggested anyway.

You have about 60M in usable cap space for FAs.
I've posted why in a few threads already on the subject - not expecting you would have seen them, but not going into the detail again!!

You lost me at Draymond. Harden and Draymond could never be on the same team because their styles don't mesh. They both need the ball and Harden cannot slash/cut run around screens like Klay/Curry.

Also if Jabari can finish season giving half the effort he played with last night he is a keeper.

If the Rockets drafted Victor or Scoot I would rather just keep Jabari. Let those 3 guys and Eason/Sengun play a season with other vets and see what happens. You could trade the Clippers pick, Nets assets, Garuba, Tate, Martin, Christopher, KPJ for something along with perhaps using the FA space and overpaying for someone else.

    Scoot/Kyle Lowry/TyTy
    Green/Christopher
    Paul George/Rudy Gay
    Paskal Siakim/Eason
    Jabari /Sengun

    -draft Wemby
-sign Harden to a 3 or 4 year deal
-trade Sengun and their picks back to BK for Bridges or make a trade for Siakam
-fire Silas and hire Ime Udoka

    Harden
    Green
    Bridges
    Bari
    Wemby

    or

    Harden
    Green
    Bari
    Siakam
    Wemby

fill out the rest of the roster with shooters

I think The Rockets should publicly commit more minutes to Sengun... Draft Scoot and fire Silas...

    Starting 5

    Scoot
    Green
    KPJ
    Sengun
    Jabari Smith Jr

Apply a captain or franchise player patch to the captain or the team's franchise player like in soccer... Sengun gets this patch.

Draymond would put the phone on hold, then proceed to laugh for 15 minutes straight before regaining his composure, picking the phone back up and then declining.

Imagine for a second he'd go from the Warriors organisation to the worst organisation in the entire league.

You can't get to like 75 or 80 if you trade KPJ which I suggested? to someone with a trade exception or for non-guaranteed money?

Cool. That's not the worst org in the league if they make those moves. I guess maybe the Warriors are bringing him back, but I'd strongly suspect they might not be with that tax situation.

I must have missed the part about where we get a new owner, GM, and coach.

Does any team currently have a 15M trade exception?

Well - theoretically it is possible (I think he will only count 15M against the cap anyway). But who is giving up cap space in order to take him on? I don't see there being much demand for him. He needs to play on a winning team, otherwise his prime use is as a semi-appealing piece in a salary filler sense

Ie, package him with Sengun and ? to get a 25-35M player back.

Yeah this works. I am not at all interested in giving Draymond some massive deal.

The perfect off-season for me starts with NOT signing James Harden.

I have been 50/50 for a few weeks on this. But believe I do not think it’s the best move. There is no way that doesn’t end up being bad after two years.

Would never root for draymond, pretty surprised anyone would want that piece of trash on their team
