Now I know we may not want to do this but does this entice the other qb needy teams to want to trade up? Now our number two pick is more valuable if we are not looking to take a qb but I hope we are cause I still want to take young or stroud(I guess)

I’ll be happy with either pick young/stroud. Need a qb and face of the franchise badly.

They were 9th though so they went from getting none of the top 4 QBs to now getting their pick, so I think its more like they are trading up to get a top QB prospect period. Apparently the owner likes Young and the coach likes Stroud.

“Houston had opportunities to move to one. This was the trade the Bears chose. Panthers will get the first pick. Texans will get the second pick. I imagine those in Houston are fine with that.”

Guess Young is a Panther if that’s the case.

Guess it depends on how much the owner gets involved and what his style is.

Either way, The Colts have been thoroughly ****** because the Cards are very likely shopping their pick now too.

I'll be happy with either CJ or Young, I want no parts of Levis or AR15 at #2.

Either Bryce Young or CJ Stroud will be a Texan. We good.

It’s still **** Lovie Smith tho.

So glad the Texans didn't trade up for #1.

I'm taking phone calls for the #2 pick now.

    The Texans have 3 options:
    • Take the 2nd QB on their board
    • Take the BPA that isn't a QB
    • Trade down

You’re forgetting that they can still get the first QB on their board as well.

Yes. This is a scenario in which the Panthers do take the QB the Texans wanted.

I'd be happy with any option.

Or take the first QB on their board at 2.

Found this interesting...seems like if its up to the football guys in the Panther's org they probably will want Stroud.

Reich also apparently has been a fan also Reich said in his introductory presser that "You gotta have a guy that can drop back and play in the pocket." I don't think there is any chance it's AR15 unless the Owner has some wild fascination with him based on that comment.

I'd go for Trading down. First try the Cardinals and see what kind of haul they'd give to get the second choice. I'd go for 2024 1st round, their 3 and 34. An alternative is Seattle's 5 and 20 since they'd probably take Anderson or Carter leaving a good QB or the other of the above at 5. Then we'd still have 12, 20, 33(32) and 34(33) almost 1st rounders to plug holes with immediate starting material. Use the possibility we'd take Anderson or Carter to get Seattle's interest and the possibility of a QB to get Arizona and Indianapolis' interest.
    Keep them guessing and bidding.

This looks like a move if we go for Garoppolo(QB) and Jones(C). Play for building a championship, not building a perennial 500 team. I'd be happy with best available at 5 plus a 1st rounder or 3, 2024 1st rounder and high 2nd.
