The less responsibility you have, the less defensive attention you receive, the less stamina you use up etc the higher I expect your ts% to be if you want to convince me there is headroom for the same level of player hypothetically increasing their usage to match Green's and still best him out in efficiency. There has to be head room If the kid was scoring 65% ts while averaging 8 ppg I could possibly see the headroom where the Blazers mismanaged and didn't give the kid the usage that he deserved and could at age 20 in his sophomore year do what Green did. But that isn't the case.
Never have I heard so many disgusting comments ! especially about a player of the Houston Rockets. Most of you should be feeling very much ashamed of your comments. Y

The narrative on Devin Booker has really changed. As recently as 2020, his fifth season, Booker was seen as a perennial loser that played zero defense and padded stats. A couple of 50+ and 60+ win seasons later and he's always been great and respected. Booker was never as bad as his worst detractors claimed, but it's hard to judge a player objectively when they're on consistently losing teams. Likewise, I doubt anyone is looking at Green's career objectively. Nothing suggests that he's maxed out or worse than last year, but we're losing in his sophomore season so clearly he's gotta be a bad player now and forever.
I'm simply explaining why Lavine/Ingram are improper comparisons to Jalen Green due to their roles on their teams at age 20. In Lavine's 3rd year, he was attempting 15 fg/game at an efg% of 54.4%. Do you think Jalen Green will come close to that efg% next year?
We are expecting Green to be a 25+ ppg scorer next season. If Green reduces his usage to where he averaged 18 ppg like 3rd year Lavine and Green upgrades talent around to that of guys like Towns, Wiggins, Rubio etc yes damn sure he better exceed that efg%
Is Ja Morant strong? not really, except that doesn't seem to impact his ability to put up big numbers. Regardless of how Jalen Green develops physically, he needs to have the skill and BBIQ to take advantage. If it means he has to be strong in order to finish better through contact, so be it. Conversely, he could learn the floater or ways to contort his body to still finish over guys. He can just say screw it and go with reckless abandon every time down etc. Green is as advertised when it comes to speed and ability to blow by defenders. It's what he does AFTER blowing by defenders that needs work. Finishing, drawing fouls, being able to shoot the mid-range and or three are all things he needs to work on. I think what happened is that we all thought the only thing he needed to do was get stronger and he would be great. Not true, he should focus not just on getting stronger but improving various skills to become more effective.
"Green already averages near Ingram’s numbers and that’s his “peak?” This board says some weird stuff sometimes." But let's be honest rn, you think that just because he's averaging similar numbers with Ingram, he's close to Ingram's level. Bb is more than just scoring There's more than 1.2 ppg difference between Ingram and Green. By the way please just stop acting like progression is linear. Green might just not be averaging more than 21.7 ppg next season. We don't know if he can do that.
I think Green averages 24 next year fairly easily. The question will be his defense. Can he be league average or slightly below with the ability to turn up in the playoffs? Harden was a crappy (mostly) perimeter defender during regular seasons but was able to help by being above average inside defending bigs and doing average as a defensive rebounder. Green has to find a niche and I imagine it would be easiest for him to find that guarding point guards on ball. He has to push himself and his physique and strength. I think Green goes 24/5/4 next year.
Does he go 24/5/4 if he doesn't get better behind the arc? Because he's worse than last year. He gets compared to Ant a lot but Ant had improved his shot behind the arc from year 1 to 2.
I actually like what I’m seeing from Jalen. He is starting to play more physical on drives. It may take him a while, but I think he’s got a chance to be a good one.
tough shooting night but i love the way he's playing. he's not just taking a 3 pt every time he shoots. he's getting to the rim, he's mixing up his bag. this jalen green is super tough. he looks more engaged too.
He was the best perimeter defender tonight. Actually using his elite quickness on elite pgs like Halliburton.
Agreed. Like, damn...some of these comments about OUR OWN PLAYER have nothing to do with basketball. Who gives a **** what he looks like, or dresses like, or does with his nails. I am 100% certain that he's more attractive to women than anybody on here calling him feminine or "gay" (****, where are we, 2002?) If you have a problem with how he plays basketball, I get it. But some of this talk is just ridiculous.
