if it's a reality show, you ask yourself what would the show runner be looking for, and you provide it. Just like a resume', ask yourself what is the computer recruiting me looking for that gets my resume on the screen, and put it on there even if it doesn't represent who you really are. If it's a gameshow, same thing, what skill are they are looking for? You need to provide it. But more than that, what makes you entertaining. Why are you good television. For example, if you are in a long line of people trying to get onto Big Brother, be the one person who just suddenly runs out of the line and into a lake. They want the crazy. They want unpredictable.
