I stated something similar in this thread or another, not sure.. Dude is a FRAUD. I have a very good friend who works at the church. EVERY SINGLE DAY they are prepped on how to sell the books, or get people to buy whatever else they are pedaling. They don’t talk about how they are going to help someone/people, it’s all about the dolla. They are money driven and they take advantage of people. F that guy and his wife. They are phonies. My friend says she’s finally leaving but we will see.
And you get people like @tinman buying everything they sell. Like feeding a cat. Never gonna go away.
Was she a believer in that guy to begin with, when she took the job? How does one even get involved with bs like that in the first place?
I know guys who have played in the worship band. It's a pretty sought after gig because it pays very well. Much better than....well, pretty much any other church gig in Houston.
I think so. She loves working with people and helping them. She has been there quite a while. Only reason she has stayed is because of the people she mentors. She’s just finding it harder and harder to deal with the constant in your face of having to push x,y,z

Oh man. That was a sinful post! I'll never be able to watch Galaxy Quest the same way again, and I've seen it somewhere beyond half a dozen times. One of the greatest films ever created. After today? It's filled with Joel Osteen battling aliens, Joel Osteen battling rocks and stuff. That, and having a secret affair with Gwen DeMarco, who played Lieutenant Tawny Madison, who's played by... heck, never mind. Maybe this is curable. I'll do research.
