Alp is #19 in "Most rebounds by NBA player under age of 21" list at the moment. If he plays at the remaining 18 games, he will grab another 156 rebs (calculated as season average ) and will end up #10 in NBA history: A.Davis-I.Stewart-J.Allen-T.McGrady territory. https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/most-rebounds-by-nba-player-before-age-21
He's averaging 15 ppg, 9 reb, 4 ass under an inept coach who doesn't even like him. Do people still question this kid's skillset?
And this with Alpi leaving many rebounds for his teammates to pick in order to box opponents out, while averaging 45 seconds per game.
I think everyone agrees he will be a very good player, the question people have is can you build a team with him as your center considering how bad he is on defense (and is unlikely to ever be good). I think that’s a very fair question
The thing is you are unlikely to win a championship if you don't have a superstar on your roster and i don't see a future superstar on this team unfortunately so my logic is that i'd rather build around a kid who is already good and makes others around him better. So unless i'm drafting Scoot or Wembanyama (I don't think he'll stay healthy but let's say he magically does) i'd definitely build around Sengun. Even if i'm not winning the championship with him at least i'd watch good bb and make playoffs consistently. Besides, Jokic and Sabonis are doing fine so it's encouraging. Also whilst i don't think he'll be ever good on defense, he'll be an average defender down the road.
You sound very dumb every time you post this. Especially since the only player you care about sucked without KPJ.
While KPJ was out, he did not play well at all, at least recently. The ten games before KPJ came back, Sengun averaged like 12/8/4 with bad D. Only fanboys didn’t notice the sharp decline.
Football was my main sport, played basketball for fun. I was athletic and could shoot really well, but couldn’t dribble to save my life.. being short with no handles is a bad mix lol
I also played football as my main sport. I was an okay shooter when it comes to basketball but could not jump to save my life.
ah recently is the key word! and that is exactly what the previous poster was telling you and that proves 'the struggle' had nothing to do with kpj not playing but rather how alpi is used and departure of eric gordon(and spacing) who use to play pnr with alpi alpis 'struggles/decline' started from that okc game when silas started to mess with his rhythm and played him only 15 minutes(MIND BOGGLING!) even tho he filled the statsheat and didnt foul out!...silas started to run his system more through daishen nix ...it also coincided with departure of ego and tate being used to playmake instead to play off of alpi and lack of spacing.... then comes the benching... less minutes produces less rhythm, being played out of position, being chastised and scapegoated by the coach, of course all that resulted in less efficient play... alpi is happy to have his head on the shoulders considering the incompetent teammates, coaches and hating ignorant fans hes surrounded with...
