We need some team identity, right?

Hair fashion can be our identity.

Yeah, but he's nowhere near the rebounder Rodman was, and debatable if he's the defender.

Hopefully he'll get more minutes next year and we can see. Rodman was an insane rebounder, not just for his height, but for any size. At his peak, you could practically pencil him in for 15-20 rebounds per game which is nuts for a 6'7" guy. Then you could throw him on centers that outweighed him by 30-40 lbs and he'd still give them hell and drive them nuts in an era where he could've gotten killed down low.

I think for most people, Bulls Rodman overshadows and over-writes the memory of Pistons Rodman.

Early Pistons Rodman, before he hit the weight room, is probably fairly comparable.

Tari might be my favorite player at the moment, but Lucas probably spent time looking up per 36 numbers and saw Rodman was 16 and 10 per 36 his rookie season like Tari with high oreb and similar steals and block, but I dont see that relentless motor out of Tari that Rodman had and sheer will to get every single rebound and defend every single play and run back on offense and back on defense all at full speed. He had one speed. Tari is high energy but more about jumping lanes for steals rather than being all over the floor and locking players down.

I would say a young Shawn Marion but better oreb than Matrix was. Tari not as athletic and weaker handle. They both kind of run similar with those short strides too. Rodman ran like a gazelle.

So you are saying he won't be able to make 3's anymore? Trying to figure out what this all means.

Yeah, I don't see the Rodman comparison. Tari also has a little dawg in him when he's got the ball on the fast break. If he continues to work on his ball handling and shooting he could develop into a much better offensive player.

While I love KMJ, I'd love to see Tari starting with Sengun and Bari for a few games to what that frontline looks like.

I'd rather they just bench Jabari for Tari.

He's the 3rd most valuable player on this team after Sengun and Green. If he ever gets better around the rim, considering he is a monster on defense, he'll be a starter. Kid can even hit 3's. Looks like a complete package. However i'm not sure if he could average 18 rpg like Rodman did but i get the comparison.

I have thought about that and it may actually be good for Bari to go against bench players more consistently and not compete for touches with our starters. However, in the end he needs reps against the best players to continue developing his game and confidence, which hopefully translates to a better Rockets' future.

Our coaching staff never fails to make me think they have no idea what they're talking about.
