That is about the logo I would expect a 70 year old Baptist white man from North Texas to pick.

Good hire for the Blue Jays.

He has knowledge of the Astros and Rays.

The Blue Jays have a strong front office.

Dusty has said something to the effect that the regular season is his to do what he wants.

Some of it is chemistry related and some of it is probably silliness, but Baker did well last year so I have learned to defer to him.

I think Dusty thinks of himself as a father. Puts players in position that he thinks they can mentally handle and have a good chance of succeeding.

Didn't he play in Asia or Australia last year, just for fun?

So just looked on Wikipedia. Early 2022, signed with a Mexican team. Unexpectedly announced his retirement. Late 2022, signed in Australia. Also not sure when, at 1 point he played 1 game for the Savanah Bananas.

Always loved Reddick. He wasn't the most talented MVP calibur player on the roster but he always gave his all and knew how to enjoy the game.

Enjoy retirement Josh. And don't be a stranger.

Reddick at times looked like an all-star worth money he signed for, and other times, he looked like Dubon from the plate. I think he and Marwin probably benefited the most from the trash cans.

At least he got to the majors so he didn't have to be stuck with that dubious distinction.

I thought Reddick was one of the few that, like Altuve, didn't use the system.

Reddick was a fun player to have for those few years. I liked the wrestling/Ric Flair schtick. He made some eye popping catches in RF, some of the greatest HR robberies I've ever seen. I think had his groundball in Game 7 of the 2019 WS bounced in any other direction off the 1st base bag we would have won.

Reddick lived in the Briargrove/Tanglewood area when he played here, and one Halloween (I think it was 2018), he answered his door personally and handed out autographed baseball cards of himself to trick or treaters. I love that story.

Damn, no more opportunities to trade him away again.
