I don't think he looked great coming off injury either He'll need a few games to get back in swing It will cone down to if we make our 3's or not SA got a win and they got vassell back . I want to at least split Or maybe we shouldn't get another win the rest of the year . Might as well try to get 69 losses
Agreed, he didn't look very good, but having an extra shooter out there on the court helps unlock things for others. When you have Nix, Green, Smith, Sengun, and Martin out on the court there's basically no one you have to respect on the 3 point line and that kills spacing. So even if he's not doing well himself, his gravity will boost the game of others. It's best to just have him sit out the next two so we don't have to worry about it.
One of the first teams to tank was the 1983–84 Houston Rockets, who considered the season lost after starting 20–26 and decided to play more bench players to fall in the standings and get higher in the draft order for the following season, and later they would draft Hakeem Olajuwon in the first spot.[5] This proved to be beneficial to the Rockets as Olajuwon later became regarded as one of the greatest basketball centers of all time. The Chicago Cubs and Houston Astros pioneered the practice in MLB in the 2010s, with the Astros taking tanking to a new level (they finished with the worst record in baseball by 6 games or more for 3 consecutive years). Both teams used their subsequent draft picks to select star players who led them to championships, as the Cubs won the 2016 World Series and the Astros won in 2017.
In the 1983–84 NHL season, the Pittsburgh Penguins and New Jersey Devils admitted they wanted to lose in order to get the number one pick in the draft and select Mario Lemieux.[5] Tanking did not become prevalent until the 2010s, when teams in all four major American leagues (MLB, NFL, NBA, and NHL) were engaged in various forms of the practice.[2]
Oh I know! Everytime a derogatory post is made about KPJ we take a shot!! Wait. No nevermind we would all be dead by halftime!
Talk amongst Spurs fans are that they are confident they will lose these two games because of what KPJs gravity brings to Houston. Big reason they have managed to win 13 games.
