    warrior,

Im just trying to make you see the other side of the coin. I'm amazed how quickly people want get rid of Mo Taylor when we got Juwan. Look at the Pistons, they won with young and athletic forwards, which Juwan is not. Mo Taylor is more athletic than Juwan. and at least he is QUICKER. Juwan is slow, WATCH him. Im worried when we go against Duncan/Garnett/Boozer etc..
Once you watch Juwan play with the Rockets, you'll join me...

Battie and Cato are pretty much the same kind of player. Battie is a slightly better scorer. Cato is a slightly better shot-blocker. They are about the same in rebounding and defense. So with Battie replacing Cato, the frontline will be about the same.

McInnis is definitely better than James. It's true that your scenario gets to keep Howard. But it doesn't address our need for a banger type backup big man. You'll have to go through some other avenues to get it.

I am not saying this is the only, or even the best, solution for our needs. But it's a very good one and addresses both of our needs with one fell scoop. If they would accept Taylor (or even Spoon) instead of Howard, that'd be even better.

But all this is moot now. Battie apparently is going to Orlando.

Well, Battie is gone too. So this topic could be suspended now.

"The Orlando Magic have agreed to trade power forward Drew Gooden, Steven
Hunter and the rights to second-round draft pick Anderson Varejao of Brazil to
the Cleveland Cavaliers for center/forward Tony Battie .

Hunter, a free agent, had to be signed to a new contract before the deal
    becomes official later today.

Battie, 6-11, 240, averaged 5.6 points and 4.9 rebounds last season, playing
    in both Boston and Cleveland.

Gooden averaged 11.6 points and 6.5 rebounds last season, hif first full year
    in Orlando. "

"On Tuesday, the club acquired point guard Eric Snow from Philadelphia for Kevin Ollie and Kedrick Brown. The Cavaliers may not be done making trades, either. They have reportedly shopped guard Dajuan Wagner and center DeSagana Diop."

Okay, so how about a trade for McInnis and Diop? The Cavs now have Hunter, so they don't need Diop.

Yeah, but what would we give them? They have a PF now.

I would do Pike for Diop, but then we'd need to go out and sign either Anthony Peeler or Wes Person. We need a backup 2, one who can shoot lights out.
