You know, since Peeler opted out, Minnesota could use a backup 2 maybe? I mean, if Hassell leaves, then all they have at the 2/3 is Wally and Spree. Wally is injury prone, and Spree is getting old. So maybe they could use Piek off the bench?

Still, I don't want Skita. I think he'll improve a lot but he'll never be damn good. Right now, we're contenders, and I'd rather have Pike's steady hand on the team than someone who's still learning the game.

    Maybe...

Tskita, Rodney Wh., Elson to CHARLOTTE

    Jahidi White to HOUSTON

One of (Spoon/ TE / Pike + TE) to DENVER

Tskitishvili can be great. But it would take some time for him to bulk up. He does have loads of potential but sometimes loads of potential doesn't always pan out.
I would personally take a chance. Some euro's take awhile to blossom. Some stay overseas awhile till they come to the league and have a breakout season.
it's gamble but one worth taking.

I've been watching the summer league games and I'm really not that impressed. 19 points, 13 points, 17 points....sure, not bad, but it has not blown me away at all. He played 22+ minutes yesterday and had 1 rebound - and he's seven feet tall.

He may become something one day, but not this year, and at most a solid backup next year, imo.

The Rockets need a few more players ready to contribute immediately to add depth. Instead of helping the Nuggets get Hassell, we should try to get him ourselves - now there is a JVG type player who can contribute immediately. His stats don't blow you away, but he too is young (25) and started 74 games for the best team in the West last year. And he's a defensive stopper. He's not the player Jim Jackson is yet, but he is a better defender. Unfortunately, it's not a position of need, but that's no reason to get Tskitishviili.

If Denver doesn't want him, why would WE want him?

Someone needs to call Dumars about Darko because resigning Wallace and signing McDyess assures that he'll stay on the bench again.

That is interesting, but I don't see what we have that Detroit wants.

Because Denver has MUCH better forwards than the Rockets. Compare: Anthony, Martin, Nene, Camby vs. Jackson, Howard, Taylor, Spoon. THAT is why Denver doesn't want Skita. He is buried too far down on their big man rotation. We could probably squeeze him in somewhere (assuming we make another trade).
