I like it. He's taking it to the rack being aggressive.

Ya shots aren't falling but he does seem more confident attacking the rim off the dribble.

He needs to quit trying to lay it up and just go hard for the dunk. He'll at least draw some fouls. Might just quiet some of the doubters in the process.

Have no idea what his Dad is telling him, but apparently he's not getting on him as needed. Damn man, take the kid gloves off.

You know he's capable of getting into the lane now at least - that's SOME progress.

But, I'm still just confused that he was ever considered an elite prospect.

Put aside FG% or basketball reference - watch - not even Paolo - Jalen Williams just handle the ball up top. Has nothing to do with the teammates around him, he just seems eminently more capable and comfortable doing it in the NBA.

Hopefully in 2 years Smith is like that but he seemed kind of stiff - maybe he's still growing into his frame or something

Eh. This is where actual watching games matter.

The Thunder when we last played them played an effective 5 out offense. That means 5 players out in the perimeter and each player deserves some level of respect to no sag off where the half court offense has extreme level of space. This results in guys like Giddey having to just beat one man when he drives to the paint. Much more cleaner open driving lanes in their offense.

The Rockets have the most congested driving lanes in the league. Part of it is we have no stretch wings or bigs and part of it is a bunch of 19-21 year olds being out of position and being in the way rather than properly clearing out.

To my homie @fchowd0311 point, I haven't watched consecutive periods of Rockets games in about 3 months, so I'm not gonna sit here and act as though I see progression ,of some sort lately, from Bari.. But I can cay say that video shows drastic improvements from him than earlier. It seems he's taking it upon himself to be more than the stand still spot up shooter Silas had him being earlier. I'm confident the payoff will be impactful. When I clown his shooting, it's more because folks were comparing him to KD coming out as if his shot was an automatic bucket and it would be the least of our worries from him.. I didn't switch up on him like the others.. lol Now he belongs in Gleague and a bust already .. smh CFers are something else ..

Lol, is there a single post you can't turn into some type of latent Jalen Green defense? Give it a rest for a day or an.... hour?

Suffice it to say it takes about 5 minutes of watching to say that Jalen Williams is better at basketball in a vacuum than Jabari Smith Jr right now, something that the professional take-havers have taked pretty consistently since December or so.

This has nothing to do with your Jalen Green mind palace. And honestly saying " we have no stretch wings or bigs" is not really a good defense of Jabari Smith jr because that's the whole point of having him

weapons grade copium. Dude hasn’t show more than 2 flashes of being NBA quality this season. There’s 23 games left. He’s had almost ALL bad games. You can defend him all you want but players who are as ass as he has been have rarely panned out to be 5 year Nba players and even rarer still become all stars.

Not to mention the fact that the Rockets don't even have any stretch guards with KPJ out.

With no one at all that can shoot, you can't blame spacing issues on the bigs.

I’d like to see him drive and pull up for a mid range as he doesn’t seem to have the strength to take it all the way. He has the length to shoot it over most opponents and if his threes aren’t going in (with many coming up short) then getting in closer might help get him going a la Harden. It seems he only wants to take 3s or drive it all the way even if there’s traffic down below.

Don't know about the redraft, but Jabari had the best suit.

Jabari is not a Star but he will get his shot back. I think with a real Shooting Coach, repetition on his shot it will come back. He is a good free throw shooter and that tell me he has a touch on the ball. He has length, he can gain 10 pounds this summer, and with more talent on this team next year he will be better. I do think if we draft Brandon Miller, then Jabari will lose his job at PF. Miller has handles, has a consistent shot and do not have weak knees or a weak heart when shooting in the PAINT. Jabari is just a High End Role Player

    Get his shot back?
I don't know he ever has shot since I watch NBA. People lower their expectation to that getting to the lane? This is the ****ing player we selected with 3rd pick. Lol.

He was a great shooter in high school and college, so he can get his shot back. He is not a Star but when he get his shot back he will help our team next year.

Shooting well in high school doesn't mean you can shoot well in NBA.
