I keep hearing people say the Nets are going to lose Kidd. My question is, how? Is he going to threaten to opt out of his deal four years from now?

Nets don't have to trade him if they don't feel they'll get equal, or at least comparable talent in return.

And the worst shooting team in the NBA just got even worse. If this trade goes through, that is. Hell, Kittles is their best shooter and a pretty good fast break player. I guess they're pretty desparate nowadays.

They still need a real big man to play center now that Shag is in the East.

SAR would be a great ft for New Jersey.

BTW I think that Martin is going to get exposed playing against the PFs in the west now that he doesn't have Kidd by his side.

It's more every single team that he has ever been on has been driven down into the ground and dismantled shortly after. Kidd on the other hand has turned around franchises.

Hell Isiah was trying to trade him earlier this summer.

I doubt that would be as big an issue as finding a taker would be.

In 2009, he'll be pocketing over 21 grand. Honestly, who thinks he'll be worth half of that by then? When an All-Star PG has major knee issues past 30, be alarmed.
