Yep. Said found proof and that there was some type of non disclosure agreement between my parents and the "girls"
There wasn't an evaluation. It was merely pointing out the facts. She said nothing of how well they perform their jobs because they're POC/LGBTQ+/etc. She just pointed out that the cabinet and positions of importance were made up of these people more so than any time in our history. So, either you have a problem with the numbers of them or you have a problem with the people she mentioned being in those positions. Ms. Jean-Pierre is qualified for the job of Press Secretary, having been the deputy prior to the promotion and with her previous work experience and education. What exactly is your problem again?
That's there's color people working in government? Do you not realize this? These right wingers are upset.
The evaluation was in the hiring process. The Biden administration has been outspokenly racist and sexist in their hiring. From the cabinet to the Supreme Court, to the Federal judiciary, the Biden administration has said they are prioritizing immutable characteristics over merit. This is bourn out by the resultant appointments. Trans people, African-Americans, women, and homosexuals are vastly overrepresented in the Biden administration and the appointments made thereby. It is statistically impossible for an unbiased evaluation of merit to have produced these results. I don't know about @Commodore but my issue is with the discrimination on display by this administration.
How many trans people are there in the cabinet? How many in the administration? How many homosexuals? Please do answer as you say they're overly represented.
LGBTQ Appointments in the Biden-Harris Administration - LGBTQ Victory Institute Here is a list for you. A random selection of American citizens would be about 50% male, 58% white non-hispanic, 90% heterosexual, and 99% cisgender. You don't have to believe me in my claim that they are selecting for these characteristics though, the President has proudly proclaimed as much. For example, he has nominated one person to the Supreme Court. Before doing so, he stated that whoever he nominated would be the first black woman on the Supreme Court. Unless you think only black women are qualified to be Supreme Court justices, this is discrimination on the basis of race and sex. I expect you will next admit such discrimination is happening, but that it is okay for some reason.
-Lloyd Austin will probably go down in history as one of the GOAT defense secretary of all time -blinken is rated as one of our best diplomats -lina khan greatest ftc chair in 5 decades. There's alot of good people in his administration who are diverse. What's your point exactly I don't get your point. His people are stepping it up. His border secretary just unrevealed a right wing border plan to deport illegals. You should be happy
Obama at this time in his presidency was discussing cutting Medicare and social security and how to extend Bush tax cuts....he was also repeating Clinton bs line how important cutting deficit was and how government needed to be small. Good God Obama was so bad on economics. There's literally nothing similar between biden and Obama. Trump was even left of Obama on some economic issues. Obama was awful
This is another example of how Biden is succeeding. So many of his critics are focussing on things like the identity of his cabinet while he is outflanking them on legislation and policy.
Except you’re doing the same thing. You’re not arguing in the basis of whether Brown Jackson and other appointees are qualified or not but on their identities. Is your argument that a white male should’ve been appointed instead becaue there are more white male judges?
History matters. For centuries, identity was not an issue until a black woman came along. Suddenly, her identity became the focus rather than her qualifications. Let's also not forget that a number of federal judges lacking basic qualifications were supported by Republicans just a few years ago. The hypocrisy and racism is undeniable.
My point is that it is wrong to select people based on skin color, sexual orientation, gender, etc. It doesn't matter if they are also very capable. The only consideration in government hiring should be merit. Biden has explicitly said that was not his only consideration. My argument is that there should have been no consideration of their identity groups, regardless of their qualifications. If a president said I am going to give preference to white male candidates for the cabinet, people would be outraged, no matter how good a job the person did as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. Biden said he was giving preference to black women specifically for judges, considering ONLY black women for his supreme court nomination, and giving preference to LGBT and people of color for the cabinet. That is wrong. Sotomayor was the one who initially made identity an issue, and Biden doubled down on it. If it was about racism in opposing Biden, why do the same people support Clarence Thomas? If it was about sexism, why were the same people not opposed to Amy Coney Barrett. People also took issue when Romney said he had binders full of women that he was considering. The process is supposed to be to pick the best person for the job, regardless of their identity. Picking the identity and then searching that group for the best person is wrong.
They dont care. The fully understand Biden administration is very discriminatory however in their warped hypocritical mind, its ok to discriminate if its for the better good. What they dont understand is the white people who discriminated against these groups believed the same thing. Discrimination is wrong. Period. This is how you end up with complete incompetent people like Kamala Harris. I really dont care who Biden put in office. I think its wrong for him to openly say it.
Y’all are arguing with a guy who threatened legal action over an insult. He’s a ****ing loser. Ignore him.
This is what the right and folks like @Space Ghost are terribly scared of. Biden is the *first* president in modern history to stack the judical branch with diviserified backgrounds. There's tons of public defenders and non profit lawyers who have been promoted as federal judges. We have more circuit judges on appeals court with non profit expirence then ever before. Obama and Clinton both appointed neoliberal judges were all pro business ghouls who were awfully weak on antitrust and were pro business. The type of judged biden wants to nominate (pro consumer non profit folks) are tilted towards minorities. Ask yourself @Space Ghost why more white men don't do non profit work? Looks like his minority cabinet members are doing fine....
