Lots of L's due to youth (physically & mentally) and outright tanking...But, growth as individuals, and as a team... *Obviously, more and more of the O running through Alperen. *Assuming health, KPJ comes back with a vengeance. I expect big numbers from here on in from him. - JG needs to show us the goods on a more consistent basis. And, I believe he will. High scoring games ahead. Big totals.
I like the optimism. What you've described is essentially what I'm hoping for. I would like Jalen to have a string of 20+ point games. The 40 burgers are nice and all, but there is some merit to those who want more consistency from him. I don't think he'll consistently go off or anything, but I'd like to see him string a few really good games together down the stretch. If he does what he did to end the year last season, I'd be over the moon. For Alpi, I want to see him initiate the break more. He doesn't have to dribble the ball coast to coast, but look for outlet passes and get us moving. I think it'll be easier to do once KPJ comes back. From Tari/Bari/KJ/Tate, they all need to get their shooting together. I hope they shoot >33% from 3 collectively the rest of the way. I really just want KPJ to come back healthy. I miss seeing him play. More Garuba and Gup minutes, please! I don't even care if they struggle, just let them get some run.
I sure hope TyTy gets a lot more minutes just to see potential. JC needs minutes as well. The rest of the season should be about finding out what we have in Garuba, JC, and Tyty. Jabari needs to continue to get minutes and hope we see his confidence grow a bit. KPJ playing SF some would be nice too, but I doubt that happens.
Well with KPJ still out and Green out, maybe TyTy gets a chance to start? It would be an interesting dynamic if less talented players like TyTy and Christopher actually make the team better because they play smarter and with more effort...... Would be an interesting dynamic for our young starting guards to see.....and learn from. DD
I think virtually every young player we’ve spent a decent pick on should get at least a 3 game run where they can be the focal point. We need to see what we have more than anything. Especially with Jabari, TyTy, and Tari. Id also like to see some interesting two way pickups. Let some guys who would never get a chance have a chance. Guys like Ish Smith, Covington, etc. can be found in stretches like this. And damnit… at least we’ll see a couple guys who act like they want to be here.
What I think the starting line-up should be for this game? Tyty JC Tari Jabari Sengun What Silas will probably roll out: Tate JC KJM Jabari Sengun
I think we can all agree that how Silas has used Nix has been a big problem. Nix should be used as a Luka-type, not as just a generic pass-first PG. Hopefully this gets addressed post ASG and Nix gets a fair opportunity to show his skills.
