I love the complete delusion it takes to believe that a bunch of egotistical billionaires would let the league dictate who gets the pick based on some bizarre narrative and put their big money making businesses at risk. Absolute insanity.

    Yeah except I think we're guaranteed a top 4 or 5 pick.

If we don’t get Wemby I will personally lay blame on the crab people who control the NBA from their lair deep at the center of Earth’s core.

Anyone who said no doesn’t understand what the word “possibility” means…

Yes, but I also believe there is a possibility that Bigfoot exists.

According to ESPN in December, Harden, who signed a two-year $68.6 million contract with the Sixers in June, could entertain the possibility of reuniting with the Rockets if he re-enters free agency this summer. The Athletic says there is a 70 percent chance Harden returns to Houston in July. “I’m putting it at a seven out of 10,” Kelly Iko said on KPRC. “Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. James loves this city and the young guys on the roster. Crazier things have happened. Don’t call me crazy. But you might be seeing something different.”

Not only do I believe it, I fully expect it. I'm excited for Wemby and I hope he retires a Rocket.

Ahh yes, the same NBA that employed Tim Donaghy and employs the likes of Scott Foster and Tony Brothers (and Ken Mauer before he was banished for not taking the vaccine.)

NBA is not rigged. Games are not fixed. lottery is not rigged. Everything is clean and on the up & up.
If you think the league would hire, let alone keep, rogue refs, you are certified crazy!

Probably just some weird coincidence. Nothing to see here. CP3 is like a choker or something!

Same offseason AD requests trade, Pelicans jump from 7 to 1(Zion) and Lakers jump from 11! to 4.

if the draft isn’t rigged at times, there sure are a lot of strange coincidences

apart from the Pelicans and Lakers both jumping up several spots the offseason AD requests a trade from the Pelicans to the Lakers, u also have instances like the Bulls jumping up 8 spots in the lottery the year Derrick Rose, the hometown star, is in the draft

It's possible that he no longer cares about winning a ring to that degree.

Winning a ring as a ring chaser does little for his legacy, not like people was poetic about Shaq's miami ring or his time in Phoenix...or his time in Cleveland...how many people remember that Gary Payton has a ring? Gary Payton, noted trash talker, barely even brings it up.

So say Philly loses in the 2nd round, then what?

Harden then has these options for ring chasing.
A.) Re-sign with Philly and hope they make the necessary improvements...
    or
B.) Go to another contender on short deal for less money.

Option B might be on such a stacked team that he gets little to no credit. I guess my point is, not all rings are created equally. He does have a chance this year I Think to win a ring that would really be on him...but if he's off Philly next year and playing in like Boston or something? Nah, people will just say he was carried. People barely give credit to Durant despite him having such a large impact on those Warrior teams.

Also, no one knows Harden. It could be that he also just plainly values playing in Houston. Not all players are ring or bust in their later years.

Glad you posted this, because I mentioned in other post how Mutombo spoke about the scripted selection

For some odd reason people love to be bias toward their favorite entertainment,as you mentioned(as I have) the NBA is just like WWE, except instead of jumping off top rope/steel cage and bodyslams, its dunks and jumpers etc, but still the outcome is controlled by the zebras, in all fields of entertainment

Can some rebel against the script, sure, just like when Hogan had to double check with Andre the Giant about letting him body slam him and win that Wrestle mania match because Andre could have messed the script up

They do a good job for most part masking it, but they sometimes make a mockery like in 2011 postseason Bron looked like baby Wilt leading up to the Finals then against Mavs he act like he didn't know how to play ball, froze himself out after destroying a Bulls squad that was one of the best defensive teams that season

Beats me, I have my tinfoil hat on. :)

Seriously though, you can simultaneously believe that corruption exists in a sport without believe everything in that sport is rigged.

If you're saying all aspects of sports are rigged, and that's how odds makers determine their spreads we'll just have to disagree on this one.
