I hope you guys are proud of your shooter jokes. A mother is dead. These guys don't have to be role models (eh, Chuck?) but this kind of life is a privilege and I don't want it going to someone so careless.
perhaps the majority of the money should be held until in savings until their amateur status is over.
https://quoteinvestigator.com/2020/04/04/company-keep/?amp=1 Several versions, but it boils down to the friends you keep are a window into your character. I really liked Miller's game, but can't see investing in him unless he slips to Clippers pick and then I'd likely trade him for future assets.
He won’t be picked by the Houston Rockets, at any pick. Can’t be the one making the choice to have this guy represent your organization. I kinda doubt he plays in the NBA. This isn’t the NFL, and this isn’t a controversial remark or a “troubled” past or a drug problem. It’s involvement in a murder. It won’t go away. The league would be just fine without him.
Ah ok thanks. I was reading somewhere else that made me think he would turn 21 before the year was school year was over.
Based on the limited information available, I can't say definitively that Miller committed a crime, however the behavior raises serious questions... and won't inspire owners to commit tens of millions of dollars to a player with this sort of judgement and set of friends. We are picking too high to risk it on someone who is this close to the flame of a murder.
Nope nope nope. Nope. Is basically an accomplice in a murder in Alabama. What do people think he's going to get into in ****ing Houston. Lmao. Hard pass. Jarace or Whitmore if we're at 4 or 5.
