It's interesting. I hate these sounds too. Motorcycles and meh cars with loud exhausts (or no CAT lulz on them) for no reason. But when a REAL car drives by with these sounds you KNOW it. I'll go running to the window to check it out. Saw a gold/bronze RWB 911 this way the other day. YUMMY.
Truth be told, I have something pretty loud now, at least at startup (factory exhaust). But I swear it sounds good. I know what you mean though.
What about the C5-C6 corvette? Other than the Grandpa/Grandma couples that have them as their retirement car (absolved) pretty high level of douche. Budget douche maybe, but still up there. Also, I'm seeing the LED's in the wheel wells quite a bit lately on all kinds of ****.... Why?
Reading all of these posts about these lifted trucks once again reinforces my belief in never owning a truck.
Ya. I want to pull over and salute people who actually own a truck in stock form and use it ....as a truck.
Until it finally crapped out 2yrs ago, I had a STOCK 04 Tacoma. I was NOT using it for truck stuff though. Except the occasional xmas tree or couch or whatever in the back. Oh, I guess floodwaters of h-tine. That's passable. My Tacoma now is not stock. But it isn't LIFTED. Cant get LESS douchey than Toyo.
Wife is getting close to retirement, and I’m giving serious consideration to a truck camper. The Host Mammoth has amazing space inside with its three slides out, and truck campers are SO much easier to find camping spots for. It’s heavy though, so I’ll probably need a RAM 5500. I’ll do a sherptek flatbed/garage in it if I do. Can’t wait to muscle some of you b****es off my Houston roads with it.
