Why any new agreement would likely be worse than resuscitating the existing deal.

 

People think of Iran as a monolith, but there is a relatively moderate wing that agreed to the deal. The other wing argued against it and wanted to proceed with building a bomb. The possibility of a more moderate and less isolated Iran was too much to accept for some, including Israel. Trump provided concrete proof to Iran that the moderate wing was mistaken.

 

I don't care if they get a nuke. I certainly don't want to get into something with them to stop them from getting one.
