I've watched KJ in a dunk competition in high school... it was kind of boring. He even did the Vince Carter elbow dunk and nobody clapped. lol.
Henderson was on last year's Rising Stars game too (Team Payton). Two trips to all star weekend before even getting drafted. He's a #2 on most early mock boards, but should he? I dunno; Rockets FO got their work cut out for them.
The rockets players were more sinking stars than rising stars. Now hope they all get a good rest and perform better after the break. It's up to KJ to save our team
The problem isn't Scoot but the Rockets drafting the same raw player archetypes all over again with a sense of high ceiling but also not that high of a floor. You have to somehow break that cycle. I think Scoot is more scoring, shooting first than pass first. Overlap in players already on the team. Scoot is going to look for his numbers in the league in his first 2 seasons.
I’ve watched a lot of scoot. He’s not a guarantee hit at all! He’s isn’t gonna be a day one impact like people think he’ll be. There’s a scoot in every draft, but he does have tremendous upside! He could be Westbrook, Baron Davis, or Dennis Smith Jr. Wemby is a day one impact player bc of what he’ll bring defensively
I actually tried to. Got home at 830. I don’t have cable so I use my parents login to watch tnt or ESPN games. I use a shitty laptop my dad gave me literally 10+ years ago to stream stuff like this that don’t have workable apps on tv. so I turn it on (takes forever to load and the screen doesn’t fully work but you have to load it before you can connect hdmi to tv). We’re not at 840. What’s this? No internet connection? What’s this? The “n” doesn’t work so I can’t type “network settings” in search? Lovely. . Okay move on to option B, my mac book. No hdmi. Connect to tv but I can airstream. Haven’t turned it on in 4 months. Where’s the battery? Ok now it’s 8:50 and I’m waiting for it to get enough charge to turn on. 855 turns on, login to xfinify. Waiting for dad to respond to share code he was texted to permit device to use his account. 905 now. Date and time out of sync? Arg okay fix that in settings. Re open chrome and now it says update to newest version to use streaming service. Download and install chrome. Now it’s 910. now it says update apple to newest version to use streaming service. GDI! That’s a 30 minute process… Long story short, the gods did not want me to witness the atrocity last night…
This post should be made into it's own thread and pinned at the top of the forum. If your goal is to win a championship, nothing else matters unless you get an all nba guy like this. The only debate is hoe you go about getting that guy. But, I think evidence shows that if you're not a destination city you have to draft him. Just signing guys in free agency and trading picks for guys only puts you further away from your goal. If you're not doing a good job drafting then change the front office and continue attempting to draft well. It's a big failure for Stone that there's no situation where his picks look great when compared to their peers.

The rising stars game product is embarrassingly bad. I could watch it for 2 minutes and turned it off in the first game before Sengun came in.
At some point they will realize that they are not good at developing the raw players and go for trades.
Jabari was supposed to be ready made and Rockets make him look raw as hell. Benedict Mathurin was supposed to be raw as hell but looks pretty polished for his age. Cade was supposed to be plug and play but has looked like Dollar General Luka. Detroit and Houston are absolute dumpster fire organizations right now.

Detroit has Bogdanovic, admittedly too old, he could be flipped for more assets. Bogdanovic would easily be the best shooter the Rockets had since the Barry Brothers, Wesley, Delfino, Cisco, CP3, the Jet, Horry, all those names.
