The only way you can stop this hating is winning games. If this group can't win games, it's obvious that the talent is not there. Kenny Smith has point.
So name a team that won playing 8 guys in a rotation that have no more than 3 years of experience. Kenny Smith is what we call a casual analyst. Watch any halftime tnt show of Kenny being the "serious analyst" and it's all superficial basic **** meant to be absorbed by casual sports fans. You won't see him invited into some deep analysis podcast for the NBA to have an hour discussion on analysis. There is a reason why he's not doing stuff in management and coaching in the NBA and is a media personality instead. Kenny Smith couldn't name you the top 4 players of each of the worst 5 teams in the league. That's fine as a casual. Not fine as someone labeled an analyst. Kenny's job is to pretend(acting) he's doing deep analysis of the top teams that play on TNT to casual audiences. That's his job. Nothing more. His job isn't to understand the rebuilding process of rebuild teams. TNT crew knows Jack **** about these teams. He's an actor more than a NBA analyst.
None of the NBA on TNT main guys have watched a single Rockets game this year. Nor have any national pundits beyond Lowe, KOC, and Vecenie. No need to have any reaction to a hot take from anyone else.

Bout time someone said it.....draft position doesn't matter, youth doesn't matter, either you can play or you can't. We need to end this ENTITLEMEENT program and start playing those players that can play over those drafted higher until they earn it. DD

Have you watched this team play? It's not the coach. These kids just can't shoot and are severely lacking in the fundamental skills required to play at this level and their BBIQ is below freezing Celsius. They are like Bruno .... 2 years away from being two years away. But go ahead, blame the coaching.

Kenny speaks in ways that always puts him in a position to have it both ways when sitting in between Shaq and Barkley. That's the reason why he says what he says.... especially about the Rockets who he knows Charles hates so Kenny says crap like this to try and avoid getting argued off the screen. Also I'm pretty sure Kenny Smith hasn't seen a single Rockets game all year. Also I'm pretty sure Kenny is kind of correct even as he's being phony Kenny Smith about it at the same time. The fact is that this current makeup of talent doesn't have anything that shows a ton of promise to build a contender around in the future. Jabari, Jalen, Sengun, Tari all could be good players, but none of them are the game changers that for instance Embiid was for the Sixers once he stepped on the court healthy. You'll need that type of hit in the draft if you want the national media guys (who don't watch as much basketball as you'd think) to give you any sort of respect. Because again... they don't watch the Rockets. So they need something attention grabbing to happen with a difference making talent like an Embiid while the team still isn't winning.
