    My wife wants a new tattoo but we've never used any local Houston places before.

    Can anyone recommend a place and/or an artist in Houston?

    Houston Press named best tattoo artist of 2003 as Dan Martin of Scorpion studio ( 1338 Westheimer, 713-528-7904, www.scorpionstudiostattoo.com )

    I used to work with Dan at a different job (when he worked at a reprographics shop downtown). He's great guy ( a very kind and gentle person) and an incredible artist.

    Now, quit bumping this thread.

    I have two friends that were really into tatts.
    They frequently go to Hot Stuff Deluxe.
    Search Around. Different Artist are better at different kinds of tatts, but I probably dont have to tell you this.

    I have friends who swear by Sacred Heart on Westheimer for body piercings. They say it's easily the cleanest place they've ever been to. Don't know anything about the quality of their tattoo artists though.

    I would drive down Westheimer from about Dunlavy to Taft and check out the multitude of tat shops. If you see artwork you like, ask if the artist is in and then go from there.

    But, seriously, folks... isn't a TATTOO a faster way for POLICE to catch you?

    Isn't a TATTOO a way to rebel to your parents? I am out of my parents' house, so... to whom do I rebel... my wife? I will just wait 'till my mid-life crisis hits... :D
