i watched a halftime of nets game and Cam has impressed me with his calm, composure, mature game and ability to hit shots...playing like a vet...jalen is by far better physical specimen and has crazy athleticism but has been spoiled in houston...i am sure hed thrive elsewhere under a good mentor and accountability

 

Well the Rockets are supposed to be losing, so there isn't really any need to compare the two. That team also has much better veteran players so I don't expect them to play at our level. I expect them to be a team hanging around the play-in area and landing somewhere around the 10-16th pick range, which is a radically better outcome than what was expected when we acquired those picks. And so far, it appears to be going that way.

I like Nook’s analysis on Cam. He might be a more polished scorer than Jalen is now, but he isn’t a better scorer and is even more one-dimensional. So he most probably won’t end up the better player, regardless of his Camsanity stretch.

Ya at the end of the day Can Thomas is a 6'2" guard who is less quick and less explosive than 6'5" Green with worse tunnel vision who can only be productive if he's making his jumper.

the disrespect of Jalen Green is out of control now

 

From the past few days I mainly notice it's like 5 very vocal detractors who spam a lot of anti-Green content. Right now the people who are excited about Green but have some reasonable concerns about defensive effort and consistency just aren't interacting on the board much. It's honestly an act of masochism if you have hope for any of the young guys on the team and decide to post here and read the posts here.

 

I just would really like those pro cam thomas folks to maintain their energy after his 7 point game, which they won't. Or they can just say they were wrong, which they won't.

 

I was told scoring 40 means nothing if you don't consistently average 30 on high efficiency for an entire season because Jalen green dropped 40 a couple times and he's got no potential... or something like that. Hard to remember every dumb thing you read here.

 

But is Cam Thomas the best 2 guard from last year lol?

 

I'm falling mostly under that category now. Don't get much joy out of defending who I do or don't believe in on this site. I still enjoy reading to pass time

Both bad on defense and i feel like if Cam takes 18 shots per game like Jalen does he also averages 21 ppg so i dunno really.
