Its time to discuss trading Jalen Green while he's still worth a damn

Jalen has a lot to prove in the next year to earn a big extension - right now he is a hard NO - an Ayton like move where you let the market set the price.

It used to be the KPJ stans against the Sengunatics. Now that KPJ is out, it's the Green Gang against the Sengunatics.

Not really. No one who is defending Green wants to put down Sengun. But we run into situations where someone will say Sengun obviously has a lower turnover rate than Green and someone corrects them which makes it look like they are stacking Sengun. I don't know anyone who defends Green from stupid attacks that wants to peg down Sengun unless you consider sincere criticism like "he needs to expand his range" as hate.

I certainly hope so....there's a LOT of really dumb people on this site and I hope every single one of them block me because I don't want them derping up threads with their feeble attempts to respond to things I say. Those kinds of people do nothing but prevent quality conversation from happening.

That said, I think everyone knows you are nothing more than the chairman of the Jalen Green apologist squad, every single post you make is torturing numbers in a futile effort to spin his terrible performances.....so you really shouldn't be talking about anyone else's basketball opinions no matter who they are.

Again. The KPJ knights acting as if they didn’t spend the summer and the first half of the season doing EXACTLY what they are chastising the Green guardians for doing is the best kind of clutchfans comedy.

And at least people who defend Green don't have to squint and say "realistically KPJ is a second year player like Green".

 

How many players on that list were drafted to be starters? How many of those full-time starters were drafted to be primarily scorers? Jalen Green would certainly be on that list. The question is, who else would be?

If you want your talking point to be relevant, then add the appropriate qualifiers.

I like Jalen Green, I just don't think he is a guy that you build around at this moment and to forecast the roster money - at this point you would not give him a max contract. No matter what the group think followers/haters say.

Left handed dribbling and finishing.
Offensive and defensive awareness
Changing speeds and changing directions
Defense

KPJ has shown improvement.

He has room to work still on turnovers, vision, and defense.

They didn't invest a #2 overall pick in him and give him the steve francis treatment.

Green didn't have to earn his job as Wall pointed out... KPJ did...

 

Green needs to clean up a few things but it’s been clear improvement - even last night at halftime they made adjustments and he dropped 17 in the 3rd … they have to figured out maybe sitting him last 3-4 min of 3rd and bringing him back earlier in the 4th so he doesn’t lose his rhythm/aggressiveness

He’s playing PG/Creator for really the first time since KPJ is out so I’m okay with growing pains in that area.

Defense he needs to get stronger, players just bump him off as if he’s not there … it’s also hurts him trying to go over screens

 

There is nothing wrong with pointing out Green has been awful at efficiency and defense while still hoping he improves.

I would trade him for a star but not just dump him like the warriors did with Wiseman just save a kajillion in luxury tax....

 

No... they can just say that he's actually playing well and that he's objectively the second best performing player on the team.

They don't have to resort to "he just 21, it's okay that he sucks now" or hilarious attempts to try and compare the second worst performing player on the worst team in the league to Ja Morant.

 

He gets one more call per 36 than Sengun. How do those 2 free throws make up for all the additional missed shots?

Now I've correctly brought to your attention you value 2 more free throws over making 3 additional shots.

You scheme to get players in better situations.

If Tari and KJ are great on the roll you run more pick and roll. If Sengun has good vision at the key then play him there more.

If Jalen is a siv on defense then you have to pair him with a better defender and not switch as much.

There are plenty of solutions if you aren't tanking...
